The TransformersLive blog has posted a shot of Jetfire from the upcoming "Transformers" sequel from the Steven F Udvar-Hazy Center. Production has moved to the space center for a scene which takes place about an hour into the film. Here is how /Film describes it.

"The scene involves Sam Witwicky (Shia LaBeouf), Mikaela Banes (Megan Fox), Sam's college roommate/friend Leo (Ramon Rodriguez), and Sector 7 Agent Simmons (John Turturro) breaking into the museum after hours. They find a SR-71 Blackbird, which turns out to be Jetfire, an autobot who had an early alliance with the Decepticons."

Michael Bay returns to helm the sequel, which is now called "Transformers 2: Revenge of the Fallen." The film is scheduled to hit theaters on June 26th, 2009.

Although a battleship would be a pretty decent live action movie translation for Omega. I'm not sure how they could incorporate a rocket ship with a tank any more than they could with Megatron's Walther P-38 mode. Oh, and yes!!! Rerelease for Omega Supreme! WAHOO!!!
