A first for me

So this will be the first time that I've gone into a film not having seen it before, only because there's a Rifftrax for it, and then deciding I need to see the film without the Rifftrax. I found it rather amazing.

Others that I saw for the first time only because of Rifftrax, but did not feel a need to watch it standalone: Fantastic Four: ROTSS, Eragon, Firewall, The Grudge, Beowulf, Spider Man 3, and Next. I think that's it.

Just thought one or two of you might find that psuedo-interesting.

Yeah, there's a thread about this somewhere, movies we only watched riffed.  For me there are some movies I saw a long time ago but would NEVER watch unriffed again and there are movies I've only ever seen riffed, including Saw, Eragon, etc.

If it's a new movie or an older one I hadn't seen in a long time, I tend to watch the movie un-riffed first.  Sometimes this is a painful experience!  But if I have to rent the sucker, I feel I should get all my money's worth.  Still, I think "I Am Legend" is pretty watchable without the riffing, but the riffing makes it better!

so far i haven't gone into a rifftrax viewing without having seen the movie on its own first.

but for movies like Eragon and Over the Top (and Glitter and Crossroads if i ever decide to go down that road), i don't think that'll be an option.
