I'd just like to point out that the running time for Sex & the City is 148 minutes...

That's longer than the director's cut of Brazil!

Too much handbags, shoes, and angst for my taste.

And that's all it would be.

The whole series was just shoe porn.  I can't believe the movie wouldn't be the same.

I've never really been all that into shoes.  I really only wear flats.  This disturbs and confuses literally every fellow female I meet.

Thing is I actually quite like shoes and I don't mind sitting around while Ann goes shoe shopping.

But neither she nor I will go near and auditorium showing this dreck.

Heels are meant for cute pixies like yourself. I, on the other hand, am too tall to wear heels. Whenever i sit down in heels, my knees elevate above my hips, which is probably bad for my hips.

The way I see it, tall women are always seen as ultra confident and sexy and owning their height when they wear heels.  I feel that I am doing the same in wearing flats.  AND I'm comfy and can walk distances greater than 30 feet.   ;D

I agree with you. Heels are an increbilby stupid invention ( i think we had this discussion before)
but despite that, why would anyone need to own more than....let's say five pairs of shoes at most (Flocky owns more than that BTW)

Courtney

I've had many instances of my dear friends, smart savvy women, pulling out a new pair of black strappy shoes and basically begging me to gush.  They're black strappy shoes.  They look like a million other pairs of black strappy shoes.  I don't know why you paid 200 bucks for them, and I refuse to give you anything but a tepid "cuuute."

"Sex and the City" grossed an amazing estimated $56 million in its debut to become the highest opening ever for an R-rated comedy"

must be a lot of women rarely have sex.

I've said this and I'll say it again. You never know when the apocalypse is going to happen. So you should always wear sensible shoes. heels are not on that list of sensible shoes.

Thats why I always wear these...

Just kidding...but I actually do own a pair of these. They support my ankles really well.

Women who pay $300 and up for a pair of shoes to go with an outfit that they're probably only going to wear once anyway because "everybody's seen me in this" give me the creeps.   >:(

I worked one Xmas in a Coach Store...$350/$500 for a handbag (some of them very ugly) because it has "C"'s woven into the material....

Wanted to slap some of these people....get your priorities straight...

I can't for the life of me tell the difference between the real ones and the fakes, and besides being really ugly, I can't see any reason to buy either.  Call me crazy, but I only buy things I like, not things that are status symbols.

People who think the only thing interesting about themselves is a handbag or a pair of shoes make me really sad.  You can't buy personality.

One of the sadder things I see from time to time is some teen girl in a skirt trying to walk in high heels. They're jerking around constantly, trying to retain balance without breaking anything.

'Course, nothing says sexy like "gangly siezure."

I swear by a good pair of army boots! After the nuclear holocaust, all that will be left of my body will be two steaming boots sitting on the ground.
