Agree'd. This isn't just for lowtax; this goes for anytime RiffTrax decides to release one with out an MST alumni.
But somehow, I don't think that will happen....'cause if it does!!...

I would narrow it down to Rifftrax releasing anything without Mike. Mike IS Rifftrax.

I would narrow it down to Rifftrax releasing anything without Mike. Mike IS Rifftrax.

I wouldn't have an issue with a solo outing from Bill or Kevin (and certainly not one with both of them) or, for that matter, pretty much any of the MST alumni (I'd be very interested to hear a solo Joel) but anyone outside of that group seems like they would have to do at least a few on here first, or it would just be turning rifftrax into some sort of weird internet franchise.

I think that's an important but overlooked point: Will the new voices be pleasant to listen to? Or grate like Rosie Perez and Jennifer Tilly singing duo on Ave Maria?

I think we're just so used to the same voices that any new voice will feel wierd. Remember when you first heard disembaudio (who sounds a lot like lowtax... hmmmm)?

He hasn't posted anything else in that thread, and I haven't seen anything more about it. Doesn't mean there's nothing happening, though; he mentioned the interview like two weeks before it was released. I'm guessing it'll be timed with the announcement of whatever it is on here, or shortly before, which probably means when the next riff is released or later.

In some SomethingAwful.com thread, Lowtax said something to the effect of: Wait until you hear the news about RiffTrax and me, Richard "Lowtax" Kyanka. Details to come in the near future.

I haven't heard anything but that and rampant speculation.
