Er....

An okay Rifftrax though. I'm enjoying "House of Wax" more though.

Really, heck, why not just blow up the Enterprise and bring it back?  Errr, bad example....  OK, kill off Spock and bring him back.... Dang it!!!!

I wonder if D.C. Fontana had this idea during the original series and it got rejected because people liked Chekhov too much?  I am surprised at how bad this story was, considering she wrote some great episodes of the original series.

I could rationalize their rearrangement of continuity if they stuck to it, but...

I thought I was Dale.

Pak-Man

Maybe the writers decided to Tarantino things up a bit. The next episode takes place before the previous ones. They're all working up to the eventual Star Trek Babies episode.

Flopsy T. Hamster

If you watch the "A Night In 1969" version of the episode, which has some new and improved special effects, you'll discover they tacked on a new surprise after the end credits...

Pak-Man

Still, they thought they could let it slide for the original cut? :^)

This episode was boring. Really boring. It was like 30 minutes of Chekov having a conversation with his younger self with a few minutes of some badly animated CGI spaceship battles. This episode made no sense either. Not just for the obvious ending bit (which is astoundingly ridiculous for obvious reasons) but also for the fact that we're not sure which is side plot, which is the main plot, and both horribly paced and explained.

Sorry to be so harsh, but I love the original series and this fan-made project isn't adding to or enhancing it in any way for me. The riffing was spectacular. Honestly, I think Kevin and Bill have their calling in making fun of this particular franchise. My favorite line was about Scotty drinking up the Vodka (I won't insult Kevin and Bill in trying to quote it, as I don't recall it exactly) he brought for Chekov. Anyone notice some of the best lines involve Scotty?

I thought the riffing was fantastic. Kevin and Bill were just sinking their teeth right into this one. Much better than the first New Voyages episode.

I thought it was wery funny.  Oh,  and the class D-7 Klingon cruiser never had a sombrero.  That was a wery essential part of the wessel.  Sorry,  my 12 year old self took control over my computer for a moment there.    I hope they kill off more characters.  So poignant.
And I'm worse than Hitler.

Yea, the riffing was a bit better on this one than the one with Sulu aging (in a different way), but this episode was way more silly than that one.  The only one of these fan episodes that I have marginally liked is the second one, with the doomsday war.  That one might be almost as good as some of the bad episodes near the end of the original series.

I guess we can blame Bones for this episode, for never giving Chekhov the treatment for the aging disease they all got back on Gamma Hydra IV.

I tend to blame this Bones for everything, as he's the only one on the cast worse than fake-Kirk at portraying the character.

This how i think the fake-bones got the job. Somebody just came on the set and said hay dose anyone here got the similar last name to DeForest Kelley. Yeah you, John Kelly play McCoy. The End.
