To be honest, it would be nice just to set this in stone and be done with it.  I don't think we should worry too much about overcrowding.  When I was in San Diego for the Comic-Con in 2006 it never really got too crowded until after the sun went down.  I really think we'll be okay.

But, if you're really worried about the crowd I could move the reservation to about 2:00 or 3:00 PM.  Do you think that would help?

I'm not really all that worried, just mentioning it as a concern.  1:00 is probably fine.  People might be more likely to eat lunch there at that time, so it's less likely we'll be scowled at for camping.

Just a heads up that I have 2 friends coming down from LA for Comic Con who will be attending the meet-up with us.
BTW, I had lunch on the patio at the Elephant & Castle yesterday and it was okay. We're definitely in a good place for a group and the service (and IPA!) was great.

Completely understandable.  We'll try to make it up to you by taking plenty of pics and posting detailed reports of the proceedings.  Well, except for all the super secret cool things will that happen.

Oh yeah, you'll be able to come.  Elephant & Castle is a restaurant as well as a pub so you should be okay.  In either case I just shot off an e-mail to Elephant & Castle to make sure.  Shall I add your name to the list of attendees?
