Okay, go rent Unknown instead!

Yeah, the suspension of disbelief was set pretty high.

That one was pretty rough for me to get through too. Did not like it.

I just loved how Jiggy knew the exact moment to get up for maximum twisty-endingness.

Imagine if he had gotten up an hour later?

"You take life for granted, so I...hey, where'd the other guy go?"

You should start writing for those damn parody movies they churn out every few months, maybe then they'd be funny.

ShadowDog

I saw a short indie film parody of Saw at a festival a couple years ago.  It was funny as hell even without the context of having seen this movie, but thinking back now it's even more funny.  The room and setup was the same, except they didn't find the tape until one of the two guys (in this film they were both college students) had smoked the cigarette.  The tape revealed that the cigarette had been laced with 1000 strength viagra that was so powerful the affected man would fuck anything in the room (which happened to be another guy) even though boy men were straight.  The drugged dude got a comicly huge boner in his pants and was so overcome with lust that he sawed his foot off to be released from his chain. (while the other man begged him not to and kept reminding him that he was straight)  Freed from the chain, looking all pale like in the real movie, the drugged dude starting crawling across to room while the other man kept saying "No!  NOOOOOO!  Remember that you're straight!  Remember your girlfriend!"  Just before the drugged dude reaches the other person a bunch of other college students busted into the room and revealed it was all a college prank.  The drugged dude was like "Man!  This wasn't cool!  I sawed my fucking foot off!"

There were a lot of other sight and dialogue gags but that's all I remember now.  It was funny as hell at the time and now that I've seen the source movie being parodied I wish I could remember the name of the indie film so I could see it again now.

I ended up watching this on the ground rather than on the plane but it got delayed for an hour or two so I was too tired. Anyway, it was absolutely brilliant and contained a joyous mst3k reference.

I had an issue with syncing this one. First off I have to admit, my version of the movie wasn't ...cough cough leg it

It wouldn't sync up at all, maybe for 5 seconds or so. Then I'd find the riff off 20 seconds or the movie off 2 minutes. It didnt seem to be the version that was wrong, because it was just too wrong. I gave up after 30 minutes or so. I'm just confused, because although this wasnt a dvd I was watching it on my xbox and it played just fine, nothing seemed off except the syncing.
I'm sure no one else will have this problem, but I thought it was really odd. I also found debbie's voice tough to manage, not that it was particularly annoying, but it was almost too normal at times, couldnt distinguish it from the movie in a few places.

Sounds like the source was a PAL version of the movie and you were using the NTSC version of the riff

Relaxing Dragon

This was my first Riff, and it was hilarious! Really nice work (and I'm a big Saw fan too), broguht back some fond MST3K memories (now I wish I'd found this site sooner). I need to check out some other ones soon.

Oh yeah, I'm a Furry too, and I gotta say; that was the best Furry joke I've heard in a long time :D

RoninFox

Welcome to the forum, I think you had a good start with this riff.  Also, just judging on the general attitude I've seen around here, kinda brave coming right out and saying your a Furry, there's some general Furryphobia here and there, but the fact that you have a sense of humor about it might help some people heal.   ;)

Thanks :) I don't really like to hide that, and I've come to deal with most of the hate (it is the internet, after all). And besides, if a jokes really good, it's hard not to laugh at it (and if you can't laugh at yourself at least a little bit, well, it's hard to laugh at anything else)

ScottotD

So I'm guessing with all the pointless arguments over who's opinion is the right one on every topic for the movie that Kevin and Bill dissapoint me by taking unnecessary shots at it?  Always next time for my first ...presents I suppose

Huzzah! The PAL version's up and I just got the DVD with Two Towers for £3.16 including postage. Ah the joys. Now if a PAL version of Dark Water would show up I'd be a very happy bunny!

And really,

Okay, that I can buy!    I just wish they would have shown him doing that in a flashback scene.

I don't buy it, because

didn't know where to add this comment:

this rifftrax holds my favorite riff line to date:

when they hit play on the fat guy's tape recorder and the evil voice starts up: "you are an average middle aged man"

and the riff line comes in:

well, bye.

i think i actually peed myself a little.  luckily i have a water bed i can blame.
