Am I the only geek who actually listens to Rifftrax on their own without the movie?

Nope.  I listened to the Star Trek V one when I was at work the other day.  The good thing was it helped me remember the movie while I was listening to it.

I've rewatched them when showing them to other people, but the only RiffTrak I've played for just myself more than once is Phantom Menace, and that's only because the movie keeps putting me to sleep.

I don't know if I would enjoy just listening to the rifftrax, but it would be easy enough to keep a copy of the final audio mix of the film+rifftrax and listen to that.

I've watched The Matrix twice and I can't wait to watch Top Gun again. No problem with replayability here.

Well, I've watched them all a couple of times.  (The ones I've bought, I can't really psychicly hear the ones I haven't downloaded)  The Fifth Element I've seen the most.  I just love Milla Jovovich and Mike's riffing of her clown-like appearance is just gravy.  *Nod*  Not to mention for the longest time, it was the only Rifftrax I had available at the time, and I didn't want to buy Roadhouse.  (Still pondering that one)

[SERIOUS MOMENT]
Bottom line is: When I PAY MY MONEY for something?  I get all the use I can out of it ANY WAY I WANT, cause it was MY MONEY that went for it, and therefore I SAY how I enjoy it.  Pretty much end of story there.
[/SERIOUS MOMENT]

Mostly I just watch Rifftrax when there's nothing else I wanna watch...  Like right now.  *puts in The Matrix*  If you'll all excuse me...

Don't be afraid of Road House! It is fun.

I fly a lot for work and pleasure and whenever I go to the airport and have a nice two hour wait, I LOVE playing my Rifftraxs in the IPOD..... no movie, just the rifftrax.   I am standing there smiling by myself and I just imagine that I look like a nut.  I have the whole movie playing in my head and it is great.

Of course, I may need professional help someday.

I don't know if I'd ever listen to them on their own without the movie, got plenty of music and whatnot to listen to instead.

As far as rewatchability... The only one I've rewatched is Road House. I've seen it three times and I will be introducing it to my wife tonight to make the fourth. I don't necessarily think it's just because the rifftrax is hilarious, which it is, it's just that the movie itself is so oddly addicting. There is a reason that TNT played it once a week for six years. People are hypnotically drawn to it, like Bob Ross on PBS. Once you flip the channel and stumbled across Dalton or Mr.Happy Trees you might as well set down the remote. You ain't going anywhere.

Pretty much all the other ones I've watched are worth another viewing and I'm sure I'll get around to them at some point. I'm having 4 or 5 buddies over next weekend for a little Rifftrax party, so I'm sure I'll get a re-watch or two in.

I've watch all the riffs twice (anything more than that is a bit much), I'll revist them in the future when the memory fades. Also, unless its your favorite movie, listening to the riff on its own is pretty crazy  :-",

I listened to part of the Crossroads rifftrax by itself and it was sadly unsatisfying and a little bit weird.  Mike talking about random things at random times while I stared at a blank screen...I felt a bit psycho.  I was even scaring myself and thought about calling the cops to report myself as a stalker.

The DVD I rented from Netflix stopped at the part where Twitney was in the bathroom and Ben comes in to comfort her, after she meets her mom.  Maybe had I seen the movie before, the comments would have made sense.  As it was, I was just like "Well, should I turn the Rifftrax off now?  I should probably just turn it off [looks at mp3 player, back to blank screen and to DVD remote.  Continues listening and thinking she should turn it off at some point]"  I confuse easily (or else I'm lazy).  :D

I did later rent the movie from an actual Blockbuster and the ending is a lot better with the actual movie.
mike5150 how tall are you?.....in gallons?

Had a similar experience with Crossroads. The DVD locked up after they dug up their life-goals. There's a big long pause, then Mike chimes in after a minute of silence, "Why wasn't Coneheads funny?"

Further proof that randomness is funny. I love that my generation (Gen Y I guess?) has adopted "random" as a complimentary word.

You, sir, are clearly not a fan. I turn my exposed buttocks in your direction.
