I never get why people base how good a movie is on how 'worthy' it is instead of what they got out of watching it.

Well, to each their own.  For my part, I tend to agree with you here.

Back to the Future.

If someone bases their thoughts on critical acclaim or awards the film's won, how is it "their own'?

Who's doing that? I've not seen anyone argue that at all.

But even if they did, it's entirely up to them.

Well obviously,  what with it being their opinion and all.  I don't see what that has to do with it being odd though.

....anyway.

How many nominations per round?  I'd like the Gangsters vs. Gangsters showdown of Pulp Fiction vs. Goodfellas

I think it was 64 movies in the first round and Greg already had a bracket done up by how many votes they got initially in the nominations thread.  I could be wrong though.

Being from Jersey, I like the mob but mob informers... not so much.  Back to the Future was also the one I saw again multiple times through the years, I beleive it was one of my first VHS tapes that wasn't Ninja Turtle related as well.

Back To The Future all the way.  I can't stand violent mob movies, and Back is a childhood favorite. Glad to see it's winning.

Meet the Parents isn't a Mob movie,  De Niro was just ex CIA or something like that.

Again, I think Goodfellas is a better movie, but I enjoy Back to the Future more.  Doc Brown is a lot more fun to watch than greedy sociopaths.
