TGME Round 1: MST3K: The Movie Vs. The Great Escape

[orionpaxxx]

Even though I am saddened that MST3K the Movie will already be out of the voting at least we do not have to worry about it knocking other movies out because of our biased love for the film.

I had to vote for The Great Escape. It's just way way way too much of an A+ movie and filled with so many great actors and acting that I could not pass up voting for it.

Coburn's "ickcent" doesn't do anyone any favours.

So Coburn plays Checkov in that movie?

[ScottotD]

Essentially, yes.

The Great Escape is a classic but it is seriously lacking in the riffing and Mike Nelson departments. Since no other movie actually contains those elements, my vote goes to MST3K.

[Nunyerbiz]

I love MST3K:TM... but seeing I would probably take 10 or 12 episodes of the TV show over the movie version... it's impossible to vote against The Great Escape.
