Heh, I think everyone asking their own questions is fine... it's now a competition to see who can be the most helpful! (I'll help you across the street, ma'am! No, ME! I WILL! Get out of the way idiot!)

Cute, David.  :D

To reiterate: simply blurting out the answer will NOT get you a free RiffTrax!

Thank you, thank you, thank you!

By the way, if this Rifftrax is Minority Report my head might explode.

Ummm......   Is it Scanners?   ;D

(Hey, it's not 2pm yet ;) )

The board is in mountain time for some reason, while the mods are in pacific time. One more hour...

Thank you for spotting this.. now fixed so that it matches our Pacific Time.

Also, I liked it better when the winning guess got it, too bad all the guesses were so terrible last time (i mean TERRIBLE)  ???

Unfortunately if the final question (answer?) is going to be asked by someone, who was voted on by the other forum members... that kind of makes it unfair. We'd like to keep it... more.. fairer. Yeah.

This way everyone has a chance to do good things for their "team" if you will, and to prove themselves worthy :)

Ooh, this is exciting. I've never managed to be here when one of these was happening.

Do we have a standard opening question?

'Based on a book?' Seems like a pretty good question from the last thread- if we get another one, should we try to narrow down when the book was written? That could make life pretty easy.

Making the 20 questions based on the book instead of the movie (if it IS based on a book...) That would be an odd strategy, but possibly helpful if everyone's on board (and only one movie is based on the book in question).

Myself, I'm going to narrow down the exact year of the movie if I can. A good opener would be "was it made after 1990?"

Pak-Man

Hmm. I don't wanna mess up our strategy, but on the main page, I was just treated to an errored out page of Mike in a Santa-Suit. I refreshed, and he turned back into Bow and Arrow Mike. :^)

Minnesota

I dont know if the book was such a good question. Island... was written by HG Wells and no one got it. Questions should be kept to easily found traits think *IMDB*

Pak-Man

Then again, as I stated, X-Mas would probably be a Da penguin puzzle. Forget I said anything. :^)

I wouldn't waste possibly four or five questions narrowing it down exactly- within five years is almost certainly good enough.

And I think the reason the book thing didn't help much is that people weren't really paying attention- it would have ruled out most of the guesses.

The Tick

should we say that no exact movie guesses until question 10?
Computer games don't affect kids; I mean if Pac-Man affected us as kids, we'd all be running around in darkened rooms, munching magic pills and listening to repetitive electronic music.
