office space has better one liners. I liked elements of Pulp Fiction, but really (and this might just be my inner feminist talking) I thought KIll Bill 1 is Tarantino's best film.

Pulp Fiction had a lot of good conversation moments (Royale with cheese, Uma and Travolta at the diner, etc) and a very picaresque quality to it (the way characters and events intertwined through the three stories) but what did it have to say?

also, pulp fiction has ass rape.

and the winner is....office space

Near as I can figure, what Isaac's trying to say is that popularity does indeed equal quality, but only if it's popularity among people who dislike popular things.

Tell me what it's like to live as an inbred hillbilly. I'd like to know.

Sweetness you really need to pick your barbs better.

I'm an Effete Toff if you must know while Im's a Ivory Tower Dwelling Academic.

Do try harder there' a love. ;)

I never said that popularity equals quality. (I'm a Zappa fan, after all.)

Whatever, idiot-boy.... ::)

Pulp Fiction: 66.7%
Office Space: 33.3%

The people have spoken.

How is this NOT an appeal to popularity?

How is it an appeal to popularity when I'm only referring to a select few? ???

Hey, don't talk to me about popularity. When the nominations started, I had Caligula in my list. When the polls started, I was the only one who voted for it.

Look, you're uneducated, it's not your fault. Here, have a look at this, it'll help you not look like a nincompoop in arguments.

Oh and this will explain the logical fallacy you committed.  :)

Okay, how can I spell this out for you?

YOU......ARE....A.....MORON.

That clear enough?

And yes I'll concede I liked the soundtrack but I like a bit of Dusty Springfield from time to time. :)

Wasn't Pulp Fiction the movie that brought back Travolta's career?

Y'know, before he ran it into the ground with Battlefield Earth

You only needed to look like a nincompoop once dear boy, there's no extra credit for further examples, let's see if you can do appeal to authority next ;)

Quote from: Imrahil on May 05, 2008, 08:22:10 AMYeah, so we have that to blame it for!

Blame L. Ron Hubbard. If he didn't write that crappy novel, they wouldn't have made a crappy movie.

Quote from: Imrahil on May 05, 2008, 08:22:10 AMWithout this, there'd have been no Michael or the recent one where he wears a fat-suit and pretends to be a girl. Norbit. Er...something like that.

Imrahil secretly loves Norbit, but he's too afraid to admit it.
