Draken

1) Dawn of the dead, (in this remake a morbidly obese woman becomes a zombie then leaps from the wheel barrel they have been toting her around in and begins running like a pro track star.)

2) Planet of the Apes, (this film unlike the original takes place on another planet yet at the end of the movie they return to earth which looks exactly like modern day only monkey's for no reason are using are stuff and living like we do.

3) Black Christmas, (original Canadian horror to mundane suck.)

4) Halloween, (rob zombie takes and screws up one of the great classic scifi horror movies.)

5) Jason X, (this is crap on a stick in space.)
"if somebody ever tries to kill you, you go and kill them right back."

The Island- It's pretty much a remake of Clonus. ;)

Jason x is reallymore of a sequel than a remake. When the Friday the 13th remake comes out, however, than it will be ripe for riffing.
Killing me won't bring back your Goddamned honey!

The Dawn of the Dead remake is really fun.

I believe that was the way the novel's story was, rather than the earlier adaptation.

I seem to recall that Tim Burton had some trouble with the studio, which is why some parts are somewhat confusing for some viewers. Regardless, it was a pretty decent movie for what it's worth. But it's not a remake.

That you believe that Halloween is a science fiction film says a lot about you.

Rob made a great picture. He got John Carpenter's blessing on the grounds that Rob made the film his own, and he succeeded. The film stands up well against the original, as a supplement, not as a replacement for Carpenter's film. It's more of a prequel for the majority of the film. And, actually, I don't think Mike would find some of the film to be too amusing. Films with rape scenes are generally a no-no.

Quote from: ScottH on April 24, 2008, 06:12:45 PMThe Dawn of the Dead remake is excruciatingly bad.

Fixed it for you.

Um, haven't been here in a while so I'm not sure who you are or what you think you're doing but my opinion doesn't need "fixing"

..I just realized your whole posts consists of telling people their opinions are wrong and stating yours like it's fact, that's pretty fucking sad.

Have you developed amnesia since you were last here? You have always been one of the biggest offenders in stating opinion as fact, on this or any website.

Regardless of who's being the dick in this thread, Dawn of the Dead was a pretty bad film.

Agreed. So if I die I instantly become a Track Star? Count me in and put me in the Zombie Olympics!

Has anyone noticed Isaac and ScottH registered on the same day? Shenanigans!

Charlie and the Chocolate Factory.
War of the Worlds.

ScottotD

The US Godzilla movie springs to mind but it being a remake doesn't really effect how crappy it is.

From the stupidity of this statement I'm assuming we've had an argument at some stage and you lost, feel free to move on.

Yes, cut and pasting is so much better than actual words.  Although if the baffling "paint chip eater" (steal that from Family Guy too?) is the best you can do it's probably a wiser choice.

I stated my opinion, was told I had to justify my opinion then made a joke.  At no point did I tell anyone they were wrong for not liking the movie and/or enjoying the riff,.. yep, I'm pretty much just like Hitler.

Apologies to anyone who had any actual content they wanted to add to this thread, clearly I should have just ignored or PM'd this troll

Seriously, stop pretending to be two different people and arguing with yourself.

...and you've modified your last post because?

Really, I'm sure you're sitting at your computer shouting "BURN!" as you attach another random picture as a replacement for any form of adult conversation but I refuse to waste anyone else's time with this or let you continue to wreck this thread.  If you feel the need to send me more 'hilarious' pictures then do it by PM or something.

Also, the Rollerball remake.
