Cloverfield DVD Covers

[gammer]

My standard size cover...

[Raven]

Here's mine

[Compound]

Okay, I did a pair of them.

The first is the traditional, based on the movie poster cover:

(The Film Crew pic is a placeholder. There's an image that shows up in the Rifftrax external ads that I'm trying to find to pop in there.)
Downloadable here for standard size and here for thinpak. Or email me for a PDF.

And the less traditional one:

Once again, here for standard size and here for the thinpak. Or PM me for a PDF, OK?

[Ortega]

Here's mine finally....for thinpak

That is amazing

What's the deal with the heroes/slusho thing?

[OmegaR!]

Its one of the "alternative" titles they were toying with at one point in time

[Compound]

A couple of things:

a) www.slusho.jp was one of the viral marketing sites used to promote Cloverfield.

b) The guy leaving at the beginning of Cloverfield (Rob) was heading to Japan to work for Slusho.

c) Slusho is J.J. Abram's little inside reference in his films/TV shows, sorta  like Big Kahuna burgers for Tarentino. He's made references to it in Alias as well.

As for why the Heroes cast is drinking it, who knows? One of Abrams' childhood friends plays Matt on Heroes and the folks at Heroes are friendly with Abrams, so this may be a "Ah, this looks cool to do" thing. But it looks cool, so they're on the cover.

I must see this tonight pre-riffed, then watch the riff version tomorrow.

updated my earlier post. Cover finished.

I would like to say thank you to everyone who creates the covers (and images for printable DVDs).  As a complete lunatic who is working on an inkjet printed disc and dvd case for all of my Mystery Science Theaters and re-authored rifftrax DVDs, I truly appreciate your efforts.

[DGibFen]

I used MrTorso's cover as the base of an insert:

I wanted to use the "Cloverfield" font to write the chapters down, but it didn't work at that size, so I used something (hopefully) similar but thicker.
