The X-Files: Where's Mulder? sounds pretty good right about now. The casting call for people in red and white striped shirts alone would be entertaining.

What would have been cool is if they would have given Dogget a picture of Mulder to take around with him, and everyone he talks to he could show the picture and say, "Have you seen this man?"  Every episode!

Tripe

It'd have improved it for me.

Oh and more stand alone stories.

Spoiler
QuoteComingSoon has noticed that the novelization of the upcoming "X-Files: I Want to Believe" has revealed the plot of the movie, even though 20th Century Fox has tried to keep it a secret. This isn't the first time that we see books and soundtracks reveal information about films and it won't be the last.

Here is how the "X-Files: I Want to Believe" novelization, by Max Allan Collins, describes the plot: "When a group of women are abducted in the wintry hills of rural Virginia, the only clues to their disappearance are the grotesque human remains that begin to turn up in snow banks along the highway. With officials desperate for any lead, a disgraced priest's questionable "visions" send local police on a wild goose chase and straight to a bizarre secret medical experiment that may or may not be connected to the women's disappearance. It's a case right out of The X-Files. But the FBI closed down its investigations into the paranormal years ago. And the best team for the job is ex-agents Fox Mulder (David Duchovny) and Dr. Dana Scully (Gillian Anderson), who have no desire to revisit their dark past. Still, the truth of these horrific crimes is out there somewhere... and it will take Mulder and Scully to find it!"

The Chris Carter-directed film is scheduled to hit theaters on July 25th.

That's not much of a reveal.   I mean it doesn't give away the ending or anything.  They used to describe the episodes like that in TV Guide...

The track listing on the soundtrack for The Sixth Sense...........now THAT's a reveal!  ;)

bratpop

But from that description, do you even want to know how it ends? I'd call it a spoiler because they spoiled their movie by making sure i wouldn't go see it.

I thought that was already the case.
Killing me won't bring back your Goddamned honey!

I wasn't going to see it anyway, but then they made me not go see it instead of it being freedom of choice.

The episode... oops, movie description sounds like an episode of Miracles.

Is this stupid marketing or....?

A DVD is coming out July 8th: X-Files: Revelations.

It's a collection of episodes (that any fan would already have) plus $8.50 of movie cash to see the new film....for $16.99.

I dunno. It's a way for someone who hasn't seen the show for years to go, "Hey, here's a "best of," and I don't have to buy the season sets for $50 each to get it."

It's not something I'd do, but I understand it.
I can see this being a BIG hit on Netflix, I guess....

We'll probably pick it up (and I think it's a good idea to release something like that before the movie). Pak's only ever seen about three eps of the show total so better to familiarize him with the series this way than attempt to catch him up on 9 years worth of material within a few months time. I could probably do with a review myself. I remember mostly the one shot eps, little about the alien conspiracy stuff.

bratpop

X-Files ALWAYS does this with DVDs. It's nothing new.

Tyrant

Yeah, but mostly things like 'The Black Oil Collection' or 'The Creepy Critters Collection' and what not. Unless it flew under my radar at one point (and if it did, can anyone provide links por favor?), I don't think I've ever seen a 'Recap/Best of  Collection'.

Plastic Self-Cleaning Duck

BTW, the indivdual seasons are $39.99 on Amazon now (since they went slim case) and the whole series is $231....

Don't see any "Best of" discs....except this "Revelations" thing.
