Hiya folks! My name is Stiiv (pronounced "steev"), & I'm a long-time MST3K fan. I found Rifftrax via James Lileks' site, which I read every day (& you should, too). Glad to be here!  ;)

Well, we've already seen new fans from Weird Al guest riffing, time for the Lileks fans to make themselves known too.  Welcome, glad you made your way over here.  Also it's good you got introduced to it by the creation of such a great riff, Lileks was hilarious on the S-M 3 riff.

Talk about yer quick responses! Good to meet you, RoninFox. Now where do I go to complain about having to download that crappy DivX player to play the VOD files?  >:D ;) Actually, it's my fault for not reading before buying...but, as we scientists say, "Ewwww!"

Oh you got a load of people in front of you who've already complained up and down about DivX (which is why most of the shorts they've put out are DRM free now) Most of the on demand stuff other than the shorts is also on DVD with the commentary already on it, if that helps.  Only ones I can think of that aren't are Troll 2 and Missile to the Moon, you have to buy the DVDs and riffs separately for them if you go that route.

Well, I find the prospect of installing the DivX player SO distasteful that I'm willing to throw away the 99 cents I spent for "Why Doesn't Cathy Eat Breakfast?" Oh, wait, I already DID throw it away.  >:D However, I am pleased with "Are You Popular"....if I'm ever a teenager again, I'll follow the advice in that short to the letter.  ;D

May I suggest going to archive.org and finding the shorts,  You can synch up the MP3 included with your divx purchase and watch them that way.  The "Cathy" short is one of the best so far.

Oh and welcome to the forum.
