to anyone who is interested, I have posted Damnation alley on the pirate bay for anyone who wants to download this classic for free already in dvd format and ready to burn to a disk.  it originally came from a VHS copy I have which was kept in really good condition.  make sure u check out the other two rare movies "slither" (1973 version with james caan) and "Twilights Last Gleaming," that I uploaded

Can you tell us a bit about the flick?

It has an awesome looking car/tank in it.  That might be enough for me.  :)

Is this public domain or pirated?
Instead of just asking questions maybe you should look for answers yourself...it's not hard

QuoteThe last official home video release of Damnation Alley was in 1985, on VHS tape. Anchor Bay Entertainment had been planning a release as early as 2004, but the DVD rights were taken back by 20th Century Fox in 2007. There is no official word when - or if - the film will be released on DVD.

It's a pretty entertaining movie starring Jan Michael Vincent and Hannibal from the A-Team. I had it on VHS and ruined the tape when trying to convert it to dvd, I found a pirated copy on ebay a year or so ago, I didn't enjoy paying for pirated material but it was the only semi-cheap way of watching the damned movie at the time. Glad to see it's somewhat available now. It's pretty cheesy special effects-wise.

yes the movie is public domain, if people are making dvd copies of a vhs and selling them on e bay,  then it is in fact public domain

Yeah, that makes no sense.  He just said Fox owns the rights to it.  Even if they choose not to release it it is still owned by them.  Thus grabbing it off of Pirate Bay is illegal.  Just so people know.

and yet fox still has not came down on the people on ebay who make dvd copy's of the vhs movie and sell them from profit, u would think that if fox would do something about a movie they own being copied and sold without their permission.  at least damnation alley on the pirate bay is making no profit for anyone what so ever.  but I feel as long as no one is reselling the movie for profit, its alright to share via bit torrent for peoples personal use

But......they are not going to make a Rifftrax for a movie you have to download off Pirate Bay or buy pirated from an unsavory eBay seller.  It definitely wouldn't come synced.

No, they'd never do a trax you have to download or get in a less than savory fashion.

mike5150 how tall are you?.....in gallons?

Oh boy!  You just upset my applecart.

I think that one was a definite exception.  First, it's not a movie and no matter how you got it, it looks like crap. Second, it was shown one time in 1978.  Lastly, you stink.   :P
