But the one that EzTakes sent me was pretty messed up. The size and scaling was completely off and unsuitable for printing. I hope something was off because of sending it via e-mail. I have another e-mail to them and see what they say.

Was it an entire cover, front and back or just some logos?

MrTorso

Check it out. See if you can make it work.

Yeah, I went to EZTakes sight to check out the thumbnail version.

Not extremely impressed with the official cover.    Over the MST3K board, someone posted a picture of a DVD cover that Trace's wife made for DVDs they were giving away at a live event, and it looked pretty cool.     Too bad the CT folks are not posting that as a download on their website.

Hmm.. I used Gammer's step-by-step process all the way through for a regular DVD case, but had to adjust the Scaling down to 25% to get it on the page properly..
After printing out, and cutting to shape, I had to trim about 1/16th off the top and bottom, also the right and left edges to get it to fit properly

The one from the live show isn't all that different.  Obviously the back was made for them to sign. If I couldn't get it signed I wouldn't want the big white space on the back.

Hmmmm, no one thinks of us thinpak folks, do they?

I am hoping it does not look THAT pixelated when printed.

Guess I will stick with mine for bit longer anyway.

I just finished my print out and it's not too bad over all.. Just a bit of fuzzyness, but readable

Not to bad, wonder if they'll put up a higher res version on the CT site.

Hey there,

Would some kind soul be willing to supply me with the Oozing Skull dvd label art?

When I downloaded the movie from EZtakes, the promised dvd lavel and cover were not present.  In their place were simple JPGs bearing the notice "For Personal Use Only."

Despite contacting EZTakes customer service a few times, I have not been able to get them to send me the label art.   (The box art, however. is available via an online link.)

Thanks much.  If you pm me, we can arrange to send it via email.  And I can send you the EZ Takes confirmation email as proof of purchase.

...

I finally downloaded the Oozing Skull cover as a PDF from the EZTakes website. It actually looks great... it has the correct proportions and there was no fuzziness. I'm not sure if they have upgraded the image since this topic was started, but it seemed to work just fine for me.

The only change that i made was bumping the resolution of the PDF file from 72dpi to 300dpi. That allowed Photoshop to rasterize the image, and... amazingly, it turned out great. I never even attempted to print the PDF file directly from Acrobat. So that may be what's causing some of the problems that have been mentioned.

Yeah that PDF is completely better than the jpg they sent me direct. Just check out the link in my post above and compare it. Once I get my new computer online I will make a thinpak version of that for myself.

Thats good, because that JPG was really fuzzy/blurry.

In lieu of the missing DVD Label Art from the downloaded version of OOZING SKULL, I slapped together this one:

It's in the style of the label for the Doomsday Machine release (which may have become their template).

(And it uses some art from a DVD Cover designed by gammer -- so, thanks, sir!)
