It's time to face the question head on, to stop pretending that the crowds of people following you, jeering, throwing rocks and half-eaten burritos are there because of your charm and animal charisma. You've suspected it for some time, from the moment you were rejected by CompuServe because you just weren't cool enough.

The short Are You Popular? will help you solve the question once and finally: the question, "Are you popular?" There are no easy answers, friends (that
is, the answer is "no", of course, which is not always easy to hear) but Mike, Kevin and Bill are more than happy to be your guides.

Sadly, I am not.

I've downloaded the short, though.  Perhaps when I get home, I can watch it and find out how to become so.
I thought I was Dale.

Gamera

Very funny short, but this short was a little too short.  I prefer long shorts, or "Lorts" for short.

At 10 mins I think it is one of our shorter shorts. ("IF you dare watch short shorts...")

I'm pretty sure that Cathy/Petaluma was less than ten minutes.

I cannot get enough of these shorts!

After watching this I still do not know how to be popular.   But I did learn that in the 50's every cute girl had a 47 year old girl friend to pal around with.

Sheik Yerbouti

Yeah that poor girl!  If that's what she looked like at 18, life was one long, painful downhill ride after that.
Great choice for a short.  I look forward to these every Friday now!

PlayMSTie

Oh blast it, I've got taxes to do and reading to finish before I can even think about watching this. Well, it will be a nice carrot to dangle in front of myself all day!

As an avid follower of MST/Rifftrax shorts, I don't think ten minutes is really too short  ;D It's a pretty average length...

But as for this short... what the... what was that about? The short goes nowhere, nothing happens, we never learn if anyone in the film is popular... What was that all about? It had about as much substance as Cathy's Breakfast... But the riffing was pretty good! I can't say it was the best short they've ever done (I still say that was last week's "Safety" short is tops for me), but it was pretty good.

And I swear, that one 'kid' is the same one from "Are You Ready For Marriage?"... Am I wrong?

...And damnit, I need to post more often  ::)

I think this short was all about pointing out that whores should be used and thrown away.  No respect what so ever should be given to women after they "give it up".  No space should be made for whores at the lunch table.

And yet,  it seems as if whores are the only thing we have room for. Which says to me that the only way to be popular is to be a whore. A diseased whore. Just look at all the happy people in the herpes commercials.

Great riff, but ...

NO COMMENTS ABOUT THE SHIRT ? ? ? ? ?

Well, I guess it spoke for itself.........rather loudly.

I loved this short. One of the best yet! It reminds me so much of MST3K's What to Do on a Date. Maybe it's just because of the weenie roast.

Plastic Self-Cleaning Duck

This is the short I first saw on USA's "Night Flight" and PRAYED they'd do before Joel left....

Now if they'd just do this...
