Would you pay $35 for a movie ticket?

In a couple of years it'll be thiry-five bucks anyway, with fifty-dollar snacks and twenty minutes of solid commercials.  It's utterly retarded.  Seriously, high ticket and snack prices and seven or eight commercials?  How much money do they need?  Can't they drop at least one?   :grr:

and twenty minutes of solid commercials.

At Christmas and school holidays, it's close to 20 minutes now.  And with around 9 minutes of previews.

I can't say I would pay the extra money just for the nicer seats and such. But if some measure of food/beverage was included I would say it's worth it.

i did this experience when i was in Prague. I won't mention the movie i saw (cause it was an utter piece of crap I don't want to admit i saw) but the entire experience was awesome! I would def do it for the important movies like The Dark Knight or so. And people in Prague aren't stupid enough to talk during a movie, so its ok.

yeah but this isn't in Prague this is America, where nearly everyone is stupid enough to talk during a movie... especially when there's food

and c'mon, you can admit what movie you saw, there's nothing to be ashamed of

The last film I saw at a movie tavern was Battlefield Earth and that experience alone will keep me from going to another.  That and the fact that I had to listen to a bunch of freaks crunching down baskets of nachos, beer fries, and getting drunker by the second...oh wait, that was me and my date.
I am not above projectile vomiting to get my way
