Hi there, just signed up for the forum after being a lurker for a while.Loved MST3K since seeing some on the Sci-Fi channel in the UK,so my first exposure  was to the Mike,Kevin & Bill trio.Particular favourite is Bills sarcastic Crow, and I love his voice too.Managed to get hold of nearly every episode of the show and love them all. Finally found a copy of the movie on Amazon for ?20 ish, expecting that any day now.Love Rifftrax for doing the modern movies, and will buy anything, nothing is sacred to me you can do any of my favourite movies or something I have never heard of.I think Mike is a comedic genius who is vastly underrated (especially over here where if you  know anything outside of sport and crappy TV soaps you are a wierdo).Looking forward to as many rifftrax as possible.

P.S. Sorry for rambling on.

Welcome fellow Briton!

Don't worry about the rambling, plenty of us do it all the time.  :)

?20? I'm assuming that's alot less than $100. Which how much a MST3K:TM DVD generally goes for on ebay.
I really do like pie.

Welcome, welcome.  Pull up a chair, grab a nice cup of tea, download a couple rifftrax and let teatime be funny as heck.

Don't suppose you're from Leeds? 'cause someone is and they've rented every copy of Fellowship of the Ring in existence!

No,not Leeds,Stockport (near Manchester) so not too far anyway.Got my copy of the movie from this site - http://www.caimanzone.de/details.cfm?ASIN=B0008FMHIU .Its in German but not too difficult to work out. They are an American company but don't offer the movie on the U.S. section, just ridiculously priced ones.

No,not Leeds,Stockport (near Manchester)...

I used to live over there (Edgeley, actually).

I have a friend who thought Yonkers (Westchester County, New York State, USA) was in England. It took every ounce of my self control not to smack him.

Edgely is very close to me,I live in Cheadle.Small world.Have never met another fan of the show/rifftrax,everyone I know thinks it's stupid!!Philistines, more likely it's too hard for them to concentrate on 2 things at once and don't get all the pop culture references (although there are quite a few U.S. specific things that go over my head).

I actually got introduced to it when I was living in Manchester. A few friends sat me down, we watched Werewolf and I haven't looked back. Thankfully my girlfriend, who also lives in Manchester (Didsbury), is an MST3K fan; I just introduced her to Rifftrax a couple of weeks ago.

Yeah, a couple of people I've shown it to didn't like it (my sister included, who "didn't like it when they talked over the film"). Odd bunch, they are  :)

Drutty

I was doomed from the moment I saw The Deadly Mantis, recorded onto a VERY dodgy tape from a friend's Sci-Fi channel...despite the iffy quality I was hooked.  It drives me up the wall that you can't get MST3K releases in this country but since I discovered my DVD player copes with region 1 I'm a happy bunny again. :)

Possibly RiffTrax could come with some kind of health warning...when listening to the Matrix one my friend nearly passed out from laughing too hard, too long without breathing in. Glad he didn't as I have NO idea what I'd say to the nice paramedics...

Oh, and "Hi", by the way.  Any other females on the board, out of curiosity?

Welcome fellow UK Rifftrax fan/MSTie, welcome!

As for other females, there are, much to mrbaseharts dismay as it means he has to keep his trousers on... don't ask

No DVD shall escape their sight
Let those who tremble in bad movies light,
Beware the power, Rifftrax's might!
