Good Thing: Monica Bellucci
Bad Thing: Everything Monica wasn't in
If there was a transformer that was a hybrid, do you think the other Autobots would make fun of him or be envious?

I thought it's a great Riff, but I'd love to see what movies you guys think are actually good. Is it only movies that on a pre-programmed path that you were expecting to go the way you wanted?

BassBone

What, The Matrix Reloaded wasn't on a pre-programmed path? News to me.

Bad: Crappy dialogue, questions without answers, and how the heck did Neo get special powers outside the Matrix (I'm guessing he has a blue tooth).

I think that begs the whole question of, why doesn't everyone have powers outside the matrix? Oh sure, it's technically a computer simulation, but then they pull that whole "body controls the mind" thing, and apparently you can die, bleed, and get broken bones as a result of purely mental injuries. Why wouldn't the Jesus-powered magical thinking of the matrix work to affect positive physical changes as well? For that matter, why can't skill sets be retained outside the matrix? I mean, if you're uploaded with the knowledge of how to ride a motorcycle, that's knowledge. It's not some alteration to your digital hands and feet and muscles, it's information telling you how to go faster, how to lean when you make a sharp turn, etc. If the matrix can really duplicate real life conditions, then you should have all the marksmanship, driving, kung fu, and similar learned skills while outside of the matrix.

Furthermore, does anybody else think the whole christian allegory thing falls flat on its face?
Love doesn't hurt. It kills.

Yep, just another crappy Christ Allegory on the pile.

Darkwalker

I think the kung-fu skills didn't translate outside the matrix is because while you would have the knowledge of how to do it, your muscles would still be nowhere near ready to perform most of it. Remember he'd spent ~30 years in a squishy gel pak thing. And there doesn't seem to be enough foods that would sustain the hard physical training necessary to take those skills outside. And I'm probably over thinking this, and then there's my damned run on sentences.
