Yeah, but why the gay version?

Tripe

Which iof the two version is the gay version? There's one song from the original recording with Ian Gillan and one from the 2000 production.

GregMcduck

eh? I only see one video.

But the 2000 version is the gay version.

Tripe

Ah a small coding error.

And how so?

GregMcduck

In that all the characters are all whiney and annoying and Judas and Jesus should just make out already.

Tripe

But it's musical theatre, aren't all versions the gay one? ;)

GregMcduck

I never got that impression in the 70s version.

Tripe

The overrated one?

Well for you here's Superstar from that one.

Lordy the Heterosexuality, it's palpable ;)

GregMcduck

I didn't say the 70s version wasn't goofy...  ;)

Tripe

See I like all three versions myself and the 2000 one doesn't get as much play, thought Murray Head is still the best Judas of all time.

Tripe

And actually only Mike d'Abo has ever done a marginally unembarrsing Herod:

Original (D'abo)

1973 (Fat dude in a fright wig whose name escapes me )

2000 (Rik Mayle)

Every time someone mentions JCS, I always feel the urge to point this out:

Raoul would have been a great Pilate  :)
