I'm baffled, BAFFLED, that they haven't announced/released another CinTit DVD yet.  Basic business sense says that when you're first starting out on an enterprise like this, you release at least few in rapid succession, to keep people interested, and keep the money coming in.  They need to get a business manager or something, cuz this is ridiculous.

Mary Jo said that they've at least started on a script for the next one.  I'm hoping it will be soon.

I understand that this is an artist driven venture and they don't have the business savy of someone like Legand Films giving them advice and helping, but heck, the ICXWP guys are planning a quicker release schedule.

I am already getting worried they're ready to pull the plug out of depression from the thought of not being able to compete with Rifftrax. I wish they'd at least say when we can expect another release.

BeautifulMind

They're actually working on it.  Recent blog posts indicate it's gonna be a stinker!  Should make for great riffing.  Besides, I don't really think they have to compete with Rifftrax.  I suspect most people who are interested in both will buy both.

Maybe the slightly longer time in between them gave them time to upgrade the DVD Wagon?

Yes I've been reading all the blog posts, but they really need a Coming Soon sign, or something... anything.

BeautifulMind

I agree.  I've been saying for quite a while that the website looks more like a celebrity blog than a business with something to sell!  I think the "product" should be front and center.   The new one's probably not gonna be out until next month at the earliest but a Coming soon, release date TBA would be great!

Frank's posts got me convinced he hasn't lost any of his comedic talent and that he's the 3rd funniest person alive (Mike and Joel come first), so I wish he'd spend more time riffing.

I'm convinced that they aren't doing this for the money. They're probably doing it more as a hobby. Because I agree with you SJR, basic business sense says they should be producing more and faster.

Now that the writer's strike is over and they're suddenly in demand again, CT is probably a whole lot less urgent for them as well.  I'm glad they're still working on it at all.

I thought they said they were starting work on #2? Watching the movie over and over gave Trace the flu. I'd prefer that they continue to take their time as long as they keep it coming a few times a year. I'm also pretty sure that as long as there are desperate riff-addicts like myself around, they will have no problem selling the next disc no matter when it comes out.

Well, if they aren't doing this for the money, then the $16 price tag is a bit high.  I dunno...I'm to the point right now where I'm not sure I'll buy the next DVD.  They had that huge hiccup with the initial release being delayed, the DVD had no case (let alone coverart) once it arrived, I can't create an account on their forums, and there's been only one release in three months (and counting).  If these issues persist with the next release, I'm afaid I'll have to pass on the product.  The only way I can effectively communicate my displeasure is to not give them my money.

I can get an ICWXP DVD for half the price, and it comes with a case, coverart, even an insert inside the case.  Plus, I laughed harder at ICWXP.

Doctor Who?

yeah the $16 price tag and there not being a cover along with the fact that it took some people months to get their discs stopped me from picking it up too.

I mean $16 is about a third of what a pay for a boxset of MST3K and you can get Filmcrew discs for $10.

They need to lower the price or improve the packaging and shipping times before I will give them money.

You can't even buy a decent pizza for $16... you people are cheap.
