Umm...which step is that and with what program would I have used?  I don't recall setting either one.  In DVD Decrypter I selected 0x80-Audio-AC3/6ch/English and set it to demux but I'm not sure if what that does.  I really just followed the guide.

0x80-Audio-AC3/6ch/English

You selected the 6 channel 5.1 audio.

Alright then...Now what do I do?

Choose the 2.0 channel audio, as that might alleviate the problems you have with the audio imbalance.

Which audio did you choose when you demuxed the DVD? 2-Channel stereo or 5.1-Surround?

After that, go to the far right
box and checkmark the video file, and the audio file right below it(If there is a 2channel
audio on the dvd, select that for easier audio editing in audacity.)

You are aware that there are 2 guide choices, regular and lite?

I would suggest going with lite. It'll make it easier.

Here's an interesting development...

When I first reauthored Casino Royale, I had no problem whatsoever demuxing the audio and video with AnyDVD and DVD Decrypter, reauthoring, and burning to a dual layer disc.  For the past few weeks I've been redoing all my reauthors and using DVD Shrink so I can use LightScribe discs, but when re-ripping Casino Royale, I've encountered the same problem everyone else has reported.  I can easily solve the problem using a variant of the procedures described in this thread, but I find it peculiar that I had no trouble ripping the disc using my normal method the first time around, but can't do it now.

Weird.

okay real simple question about this casino royale. ive synced up the first disembaudio and then from there gets off to the next one. im guessing there is  a PAL NTSC issue? but i checked the framerate and this movie seems to be NTSC 23.976.  so did the riff take place on a PAL dvd?

and cant i just slow down the rifftrax to sync up with the movie? say -7.5%?

Well there are about 4 different versions of the film unforunately.

Hey all,

I bought the Rifftrax for Casino Royale a couple days ago, and I had no clue there was going to be a reauthoring problem. I guess I should have checked the forums first...lucky me. I normally use the full length unofficial guide for this stuff and have no problem, but obviously that doesn't work with this DVD.

Anyway, I'm using an NTSC version of the DVD, and have ripped the DVD via Ripit4me and have all the stuff it did in a folder. What I need to know is, what do I do from there? I downloaded Rejig, but I'm not familiar with how to use it, and my Google searches came up to nothing. Am I adding all the files from Ripit4me into the ISO Mode one by one? Cause that's what I tried to do, and got all the files that showed up, which is about seven VTS IFO files...though  there are a lot more files than that in the folder.  There was one file, which is VIDEO_TS.IFO, that I couldn't get added in because I get an error message that says Failed to parse IFO. I entered all the files I had anyway and tried to process them, but it only lasted for a couple seconds and nothing happened.  There's nothing in my output folder.

What do I do now? I'm very discouraged right now. I'd hate for this to be a wasted purchase.

Casino Royale is one of those disc that has copy protection that is a pain in the ass to get through.  You've half way there, just a few more steps.  Download ImgBurn.  This will turn the DVD into an ISO. Rejig can demux from DVDs or virtual DVDs (which is mainly what an ISO is), but not from a straight rip.  Start up ImgBurn, and go to Build Mode.  Click on the "Browse for a folder.  Then choose the Folder you ripped the DVD to with Ripit4me.  Then click onthe little tab next to destination, and name the ISO file.  Ignore the layer break if your burning to a single layer DVD.  It should take anywhere from 15 to 20 minutes to complete.  Then load up the ISO into any Virtual Drive(if you don't have one, get one here.  You should be all set to continue as usual, but i'd suggest ripping with Rejig than DVD Decrypter( Rejig Instructions are in the Lite Version of the unoffical guide).

Let me know if this helped....

Hey Ortega,

I followed your steps and it worked for the most part! For some reason Rejig would freeze up every time I tried to use the file from the Virtual Drive, so I ended up having to use DVD Decrypter. I do have a shiny new Casino Royale DVD, but the film audio seems to be de-synched with the video. It appears as if Judi Dench's words aren't matching her lips by a small fraction. It's weird. I don't know why Rejig is suddenly unhappy, but at least I know the DVD can be made! ;D I know other people have experienced this, but the solution seems to be Rejig based. Any suggestions for fixing this problem if I can't get that program to work?

Thanks so much for your help!

Try this version of a virtual Drive .  If that dosent work, i'd suggest redownloading Rejig, becuase DVD Decrypter can never seem to rip the audio correctly on Casino Royale.

Queen Shadowrama

Well I re-downloaded and re-installed Rejig and it did the same thing, so that can't be the problem. I'll try this new Virtual Drive and see if that works. But I'm gonna give myself a break for now, as I've been working on this sucker all day. I'll get back to you and let you know if I have any other problems. Thanks again!  ;D

*sigh*...I'm back again. Even using that new virtual drive Rejig wouldn't work, so I ended up scrapping everything I had done and started again from scratch. The second time around Rejig did work, and I did everything that you told me to do Ortega and then followed the Lite Guide. I followed  the guide (the only change was that I used Delay Cut to fix the AC3 instead of letting Rejig do it - cause that's what others in this thread were saying to do), and I ended up with an even worse DVD! Not only was the audio still de-synched, but the video was cut off on the edges, so a title like "Prague" read "ague", which is really weird. It seemed like the video was zoomed in or something. I don't know what I could have done to make that happen!

Anyway, I'm still having the de-synching problem, even with Rejig. Any suggestions? I might just have to bust out the Rifftrax Player and watch this thing on my computer...*shudders*

Have you tried adjusting the audio this way:

anyone else getting trouble with the 91517 ms audio delay?  I can't seem to get the finished audio synced back up to the video.  but i'm still working on it.

After ripping the entire DVD with Ripit4me to my hard drive, I used ReJig to rip the M2V and AC3 from casino royale off my hard drive, without correcting the ac3 delay. I then found on the net that the delay is 200ms. So I used AC3 Delay corrector to add 200ms at the start of the audio and BAM! its all good.

It's a freaking miracle! I followed the Lite Guide up until I used the ffmpegGUI program. After that I used Infoedit and changed the delay to 200 ms. I then followed the rest of the main guide (which only involved DVD Shrink and burning) and everything was just peachy! Thank you Ortega for getting me staretd, and thank you bettertomorrowamy for redirecting me to that helpful post! Now I'm finally gonna go enjoy this! I sure as heck earned it... :P

But if I ever meet the guy who had the idea to put so much copy protection on this thing in the first place, I swear I'm gonna kick him in the shins!

Thanks again!
