8 - The Haunting (Newer Version).  Took a classic and killed it.  Liam Neeson almost gets drowned by a statue, Owen Wilson decapitated by a fireplace, Catherine Zeta Jones tryin to seduce Lili Taylor!

You mean Lilly Tomlin? The scene was probably added in cuz she's... y'know. One a' them homosexualists.

Also; good list, sir.

To continue on the Haunting thing, the ending, with the whole pirate ghost-lookin' CGI thing, Jesus H. Koresh.

The Bebop choice of some animated stuff, makes me think of "Happily Ever After", the weird "feminist" sequel (note the quotes, I wouldn't want to think any smart feminists to think this flies) to Snow White produced by the same people who made "Fat Albert and the Cosby Kids."  Would be great for a riff (it's got a rap song by Ed Asner, for Chrips sake), but I think it's a. only available on VHS (cause I own it. Sorry, world) and b. almost too horrid to sit through.

Great choice of name, by the way, Bebop.  "And I say to myself, I need exact change."
"If you drink 20 gin and tonics a day, you'll die, but not from malaria."

"Bebob...cola....gooooood!"

Some interesting choices, indeed Bebop, but I'm constantly confused by how many people are requesting Clue these days.  Is there another version of this movie I'm not aware of (other than the three alternate endings?) that would be riffable?

Someone should riff Roadhouse in honor of Patrick Swayze. ;)
Killing me won't bring back your Goddamned honey!

Nah, what we really need is the Star Wars Holiday Special.  Not that they could really do it without a dvd of course  ;D

Thank you all for diggin the name  ;D

As for the Clue thing, it's out in the $5 bin at Targets and other Box Marts right now. Maybe that's why so many are requesting it recently. Lol. Stores tend to circulate new stuff in the cheapo bins every once in a while to make way for newer inventory. They make room, I buy cheap dvds, Mike and crew riff them. We all win.

In no particular order...

KISS Meets The Phantom Of The Park
Mad Max: Beyond Thunderdome
Gladiator
Wild Guitar (Arch Hall Jr.)
The Sadist (More Arch Hall Jr.)
Superman 4
Blind Fury (Rutger Hauer)
Wanted Dead Or Alive (Rutger Hauer AND Gene Simmons)
Hard Target (Jean Claude Van Damme)
Earthquake

Thorns of Crimson Death

"Well hellllllllllllllllo consumer"

Reminds me that I must check out the cheap-o bin for some neglected classics.  And yes, we all win when those circumstances align.
A spell was cast and the sky turned red.  The Angel's heart froze to ice.  Roses of blood from an innocent soul.  On the plain lies an Angel dead.

I've updated my top ten in the last few months.  It's not even remotely close to what it was, but it's better.  Keep in mind, most people have never even heard of half of these movies, but cult fans would probably flip if they were ever riffed.

10) Krull
Okay, a lot of people have heard (and even already suggested) this one.  But it's a validly bad movie.  I remember seeing and kind of liking it when I was about 5, even though I didn't quite understand what was going on.  I just saw on the Sci-Fi Channel a couple of months ago...I still don't understand it.

9) House of the Dead
MOST people have heard of this one too.  I don't think Uwe Bolle will ever get done by Riff Trax though.  He has been considered the Ed Wood of the new generation for quite a few years now.  Mike and Co. didn't think Plan 9 was optional because it was too easy.  But then again, they did finally do Plan 9.  I hope they do this one, because quite frankly, I bought for $2 (twice the budget of the movie) and I haven't been able to sit through more then 20 minutes of the damn thing since I bought it...about 2 and a half years ago.

8)
Masters of the Universe
I can't believe Dolph Lundgren hasn't been subjected to the Riff Trax treatment yet!  This, sadly might just be his best performance ever.  Anyone who watches Conan O'Brien would never be able to help making Donald Rumsfeld jokes whenever Skeletor is on screen.

7) Zombi 3
Those who know me, will know that Lucio Fulci is one of my all time favorite directors.  However, he wasn't perfect.  This movie was so imperfect, Lucio directed about 50 minutes worth of footage.  Then left.  Hackmeister Bruno Mattei took over.  The movie is as uneven as a movie half directed by a diabetic who just had a stroke and a guy who never made a good movie in his life.  This is one of the most riffable cult movies in the world.  If the flying zombie head doesn't win you over, the soundtrack will.

6) Rats: Night of Terror
Bruno Mattei strikes twice on my list.  This movie was one of those low budget Road Warrior rip-offs from the 80's.  Best part is, much like fellow Italian schlock maven Joe D'Amato (of Troll 2 infamy), this movie doesn't have any actual rats.  It has guinea pigs died black and then thrown on the actors by barely concealed P.A.'s.  Then there's the ending.

5) Azumi
I don't understand what this geek obsession with Japanese director Ryuhei Kitamura is.  All of these internet geeks say he's "The New Tarantino" I think he's a video game programmer who stumbled onto a film set one day, and the producer was just a temp. on his first day and said "Oh you must be the director.  Hope you know what your doing, because I am completely in over my head on this.  And that's how Azumi got made.  I mean really, there are PS1 games with better effects than this.

4)The He-Man/She-Ra X-Mas Special
I'm not even sure if this is on DVD.  But hey, the got the Star Wars Holiday Special.

3) Snuff
This was given a very limited DVD release.  But I think anyone with a Netflix account should be alright.  This is actually the movie that caused (and coined the term "snuff film") the whole Snuff movie panic in the 70's.  It claimed that to have had real actors getting murdered in the end.  Even though it's obviously a completely different cast and crew when it gets to that scene.  This movie is so hilariously bad it defies description.  How do you spell the main villains name any way?  Satin?  Saaten?

2) Zachariah
The first and last electric western.  The plot?  I was too busy struggling out of the coma this movie put me in.

1) Starcrash
A Star Wars rip-off, produced by Roger Corman, directed by an Italian production assistant, and featuring Joe Spinell, Christopher Plummer, and DAVID HASSELLHOFF!  This is one of my all time favorites.

I checked and made sure that at least most of these are available.  I at least want this list to be realistic, and not just wishful thinking.  Let me know what you know of the list.

By the way Amphibidud has the best list I've seen in a long time.

It's on DVD as disc one of "The Best of She-Ra" two disc set.  Not sure if Rifftrax would ever do it, but Greg McDuck and I wrote a script for it, feel free to join me in bugging him to finish recording it.   ;)

I've been occasionally asking about it too.  So that's 3 of us.

Together we are, THE TRIUMVIRATE OF THE SHE-RA X-MAS SPECIAL!!!!

Do think if we all focused our She-Ra power at the same time, we could combine into a big Voltron-y thing?

By the way:  "GET OFF MY PLANE!!!"
