I think the Comedian looks great. The shot of Rorschach made my fanboy heart skip a beat. As for Ozymandias, I'm not sold on this Matthew Goode fellow. I was hoping Jude Law and his smugness would've been casted as him but oh well.

It's understandable, it is a very complex joke that I'm sure goes over many people's heads

So is "Niteowl" = Batman? And "The Comedian" = Joker?

  Not really. At least I don't think so. Niteowl might be a spiritual reference to Batman as far as his appearance and knack for gadgets are concerned. The Comedian really can't = Joker, though. Too many deep, psychological things going on between Bats and the Joker that just don't exist between the two Watchmen characters. Plus they're on the same team.
