MST3K like silhouette feature suggestion, JUST a sugestion

I know in the original MST3K, that the silhouette of Mike/Joel and the bots must have been done with a bluescreen.

Since you have your own player, you could do the same thing - create an overlay over the film. The silhouette would just be black and white and could compress quite well.  The player would just do an overlay of the silhouette over the actual film, and it would look very similar to the MST3K series.  I know this would create more work to riff the films but it would be a hoot.  With regard to the extra work involved (modifying the player, adding a new file format, recording the silhouette) it may not be economically worthwhile.

It's only a suggestion because I know it would create more work.

Anyhow, you made Star Trek Generations watchable.  That's quite an accomplishment.

Probably more than economics in the way of doing something like this.  First off, they've said many times "This isn't MST3K 2.0" and if you put in silhouettes that is what it would look like, unless you found some different creative way to use the silhouettes other than theater seats, in which case people would be saying Rifftrax was imitating Cinematic Titanic.  The other problem is that while you can't claim exclusive rights to making humorous commentaries, the more you make Rifftrax resemble MST3K the more likely it opens Rifftrax up to a lawsuit.
