Jeez, Glengarry Glen Ross is a great movie.  It reminds me in some ways of Death of a Salesman.

In that they're both so depressing they make you wish you were dead?

Well, they make me glad I'm not an American salesman for sure.  I think DOAS could've used more blue language however:

"Biff, you underachieving cocksucker, pull your thumb out of yer ass and get a fuckin' job!"

"Jeez, Mom."

;)

Some of my favs:

"You're gunna need a bigger boat!" (from "Jaws" of course)

"Don't call me junior!" ("Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade")

"Wax on, wax off" ("Karate Kid")

"Life moves pretty fast. If you don't stop and look around every once in awhile you could miss it." ("Ferris Bueller")

"Is this toothbrush approved by the American Dental Association?" ("Home Alone"?my ultimate guilty pleasure!)

And as much as the people on these forums like to poop on "Star Wars" movies, they remain the kings of great quotes:

"May the force be with you"

"This is where the fun begins!"

"I have a bad feeling about this"

"Would it help if I got out and pushed?"

"What is thy bidding my master?"

"Twice the pride, double the fall"

"I am a Jedi. Like my father before me"

"Why do I get the feeling we've picked up another pathetic lifeform?"

and of finally, the grandaddy of them all:

"I am your father"

Which is interesting, as everyone seems to love bashing his writing abilites. Just an observation, make of it what you will.

And while we're talking guilty pleasures:

Bill and Ted's Excellent Adventure:

"'The only true wisdom comes in knowing we know nothing'... That's US, dude!"

"Be Excellent to each other.. And PARTY ON, DUDES!"

Bill and Ted's Bogus Journey:

"Station!"

"They melvined me."

"Dude! They think we're philosophers!"
"Well then philosophize!"
"Every rose has its thorn."
"Just like every cowboy sings a sad, sad song..."

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 2:

"If I had a face like yours, I'd try to make up for it with some kind of personality!"

"Which one's the ugly one?"

Yes, it's a Youtube Link. Not only that, but it's a Youtube link to a Music Video.

Why am I posting this here?

Because sometimes a quote is great not because of the quote itself, but how it's said. And this is one of those quotes.

So, you can either:

A) Click on the link and watch the whole video or...

B) Click on the link, wait for the video to load fully and then drag the marker to around 03:39 on the timeline or as close as you can get it to 03:39 and then watch from there to 04:22.

from one of the greatest comedies of all time, Kung Pow:Enter the Fist

Master Betty: "I have been called bad before. Many have said I do things that are not correct to do. I don't believe in talk such as this. I am nice man, with happy feelings. All of the time. First, a joke: What do you get when you cross an owl with a bungee chord? [pause] My ass. Nyah, haha, haha, haha,  ENOUGH."

Master Betty: "Shirt ripper!"

Wimp Lo: "Take a close look. 'Cause I rule, baby."
Chosen One: "And who do you rule, the large-dark-nipple people?"

Chosen One: "Killing is wrong. And bad. There should be a new, stronger word for killing. Like badwrong, or badong. Yes, killing is badong. From this moment, I will stand for the opposite of killing: gnodab."

Wimp Lo: "If you've got an ass, I'll kick it!"

Chosen One: "I'll take a pound of nuts."
Shop Keep: "That's a lot of nuts! That'll be four bucks, baby! You want fries with that?!"

Master Tang: [narrating] At that moment, the Chosen One learned a valuable lesson about iron claws... THEY HURT LIKE CRAP MAN.

I really do like pie.

"Some motherfuckers are always tryin to ice-skate uphill." - Wesley Snipes, Blade (highly riffable)  ;D

If we're going to have Star Wars quotes, how about the king of all Star Wars quotes:

"Everything's fine... we're all fine here, now, thank you.  How are you?"

That Harrison Ford.  He was such a great actor back in the days when he used to care.
CROW:  (Sinisterly) The Secret Government Eggo Project...
--Mystery Science Theater 3000: The Movie

"Jason, Chess is a game of chance."
-- My friend Shawn to my friend Jason upon being defeated at a game of Chess.
