At one point ll the Spartans bow before the boy Leonidas and one of the riffers says "We prostate ourselves before you."

It's PROSTRATE! *twitch*

RobtheBarbarian

I was wondering if I was the only one who noticed that.  ;D

David

It's also possible that it was just a slip of the tongue and he had a certain... medical examination coming up.  :o

bettertomorrowamy

I think it's one of those things where you work so hard all your life to say "prostate exam" right, and then you go and have to actually say prostrate in a sentence and your brain tells you, "No say prostate, dummy."

They are human, damn it. Get over it. They already have to watch the movie at least three times (watch+write, watch+riff, watch+editriff). Give them a break, they made the best thing since MST3k. :D

*snrk*

I'm sure you're right. But I have a God-given right to complain about whatever I damn well please. ;)

MSTJedi

I say it was intentional. It's a pun. Like when Joel always said "Please, I abhor you!" instead of "implore". It's something that most people won't pick up on, but makes the people who do laugh . . . or at least chuckle.

bettertomorrowamy

If it's a pun, it makes no sense.  So I'm guessing it was a slip.

If it was a slip, it's a funny one. In fact, I'd claim it was on purpose even if it wasn't if I was him. After all, "prostate" is funny 'cause it has to do with man parts. And we all know naughty bits = funny.

A prostate isn't exactly a naughty bit.  It's not your nuts.

Prostate:
The main function of the prostate is to store and secrete a clear, slightly alkaline (pH 7.29) fluid that constitutes 10-30% of the volume of the seminal fluid that, along with spermatozoa, constitutes semen. The rest of the seminal fluid is produced by the two seminal vesicles. The alkalinity of seminal fluid helps neutralize the acidity of the vaginal tract, prolonging the lifespan of sperm.
The prostate also contains some smooth muscles that help expel semen during ejaculation.

I meant that it was in that particular crotchular region . .  . except inside.

PlayMSTie

Yeah, I think it was intentional. Otherwise what's the point of the riff? "We prostrate ourselves before you" isn't particularly funny.
