Top Bar Problem

I've had this problem since day one on my main computer (although it works fine on my laptop). When I try to access the menu bar (File, DVD Screen Menus, My Bookmarks...) the player instantly closes. Is there a quick fix? It never really gets in the way too much because there's usually another way to do everything, but it'd be nice if there was an easy solution.
