I just find it interesting that aside from the opinions about future Rifftrax, this guy's observations were iterated by at least a dozen people in other threads, and the body of his message was fairly well constructed. Yet, people only read the trollish subject line and focus on that. "Don't judge a book by its cover" doesn't apply to internet posts, I guess. Funny how something in all capital letters and multiple exclamation points will attract people's attention. ;)

Well-constructed?  Grammatically, sure, but manners-wise, not at all.  The demand for a free RiffTrax written by Mike, Kevin, and Bill is hardly reasonable.  Calling them lazy for letting the fans write one is hardly reasonable.  The complaint about dead air was the only thing reasonable about it, but even that wasn't a well-constructed argument.  It was devoid of anything but mere assertions.  Plenty of people have made the same complaint here in a genuinely useful manner (and usually while also pointing out that what was there in the riff was freakin' hilarious).  This, however,  was not well-constructed, by any stretch of the imagination.

Read the first post one more time, in its entirety:

There was too much dead air on the Rifftrax.  So many opportunities missed.  Please don't be lazy and let fans write them.  I think there should be a redo of Batman & Robin in which Mike and the crew write it that everyone who purchased this lame track should get for free.

Compare that to any of your posts that criticize the lack of riffing in the latter half of the movie.  There's a world of difference.

I agree that there was some dead air time, which is understandable. Though I think that if there ever is in a project like this, the riffers can chime in with their own written riffs, as long as they don't replace the fan-written ones. It's be a nice mix I'd think.

Still very funny. Definitely not lame.

Though if I had known about the fan submission at the time, I probably would have added "Grab the gun! Point it at the deck!" since being a Star Wars fan that Mr. Freeze line stuck out perfectly for me... Wow nerdiness. ;D

Wow, I TOTALLY missed that one. You just made me laugh out loud. Nice catch. ;)

Thanks for your comments. :)
