Independance day WILL NOT WORK

Using the rifftrax player, I can't find a way to acess the "theatrical release" or even assertain which release I am watching.  Any option I choose, including trying to skip chapters ahead with the embed dvd menu and the RifftraxPlayer menu yeild nothing.  The movie time keeps ticking and the riff time stays at zero.  Fast forwarding or rewinding sounds good, but in practice just gets me stuck in buffer hell. 
Second note: when I play the rifftrax intro it keeps playing, and doesn't cut off.  I can pause it, and synch the movie that way, but after five minutes it's hoplessly off, and I don't have the option to pause the audio.

Has anyone dealt with this before?

Independance day won't work for me either. I just downloaded the newest version yet I still get this.
