Anyways, since it looks to be a code, maybe it's the Da Vinci Code?  After all, it did just come out on DVD, didn't it?

Not yet. At least not in the states. I think it comes out Tuesday.

Hmm, good point.  Who knows, maybe Mike has a deal with Columbia to release the RiffTrax the same day as the DVD, so people would buy Da Vinci Code right away!  Yes!  And they faked the moon landing!  And the CIA is using the UFOs they found at Roswell as goverment weapons!  And...

Ugh, all this code stuff is getting me paranoid.  Where's my tin hat at?

That would be a pretty good marketing gimmick. It's the only way they'd get me to consider buying the DVD. That or a deleted scene where Ian McKellen repeatedly hits Tom Hanks with his cane. That would be worth the $15.

I doubt that it's just randomness. There's nothing worse for new customers of Rifftrax who just signed up for the mailing list to discover an "error" in it.

I doubt that it would be something as new as the DaVinci Code. The latest release to date has been The Grudge, and that came out within the past 2 years, but needless to say, I think that all the movies that are gonna be riffed are not gonna be in the New Releases at your local video store.

As far as the characters go, I do not see any discernible pattern unless you take the first letter of the name of each character, but even so, it still only comes out to be:

period
caret
percent
question mark
question mark

Okay, this is probably a huge streach, but I thought I'd point it out.  

Let's see:

In this picutre the symbols are all closely under a letter. i.e. M - I ., N ^ G % S ? O ?

It is almost positively meaningless, I think, but just incase someone notices something from it I thought I'd post it.    

Also, ^ (or caret if anyone wanted to know how it was actually spelled) means to show where something is inserted.  Significant?  Who knows.
