It's great to be here among the rest of the MiSTies and riffaholics!  Finally I feel as if I'm among my own kind!  I must confess that I have every one of the MST3K episodes on DVD (except of course for the elusive first three) and have purchased every rifftrax and Mike Nelson legend DVD (this is not a boast - only a mere celebration of all things wonderful).  Once MST3K ended and I read the Mike Nelson book collection I felt that life was over...  But Hi-Keeba!!!!  The greatest humor lives on! 

Now I can focus on my life's quest.  I will stop her and get Mike's keyboard back!

Interesting.  On the Members page it says Viewing Members 1 to 30 (of 941 total members). I'm not exactly sure what this means, but I have a couple guesses.  Either there are members that are hidden (which doesn't appear to be an option), or people post once and then cancel their membership.  If the second is true, then that would have to happen a whole lot, because the majority of the members here haven't posted.  So people would have to have posted and then canceled their membership 487 times for there to be 1008 members that have posted and only 941 members left (of those, 515 have posted, 426 have not), if both numbers are true.

And now that I look further into it, the statistics center says there are 1008 members, and doesn't say anything about them being posting members, which discounts my second theory.  I'm just confused now.  Are the numbers wrong?  Are there hidden members?  Are there 67 hidden administrators, secretly changing things behind the scenes?  Did I just see a cat go by twice?  I have a feeling the answer is going to be really simple... but I just can't fathom what it is.

Oh, and I wasn't kidding about the party either.  I was going to make a big topic welcoming the 1000 member where we could all reflect on the success of Rifftrax and admire how much its grown in such a small amount of time.  But I missed it, darn.  Hell, I'll do it any way.

Curiouser and curiouser. That is quite the discrepancy between 941 and 1008. So there are 67 invisible members out there? I hope the Mods can explain this soon.

The wording on the homepage is especially odd considering that a glance at the members page indicates that many registered members have never posted anything, so saying " 15499 Posts in 532 Topics by 1008 Members" isn't really accurate. Even if there are 1008 registered members, not all of them have posted in those 532 topics.

If you registered, you get counted, even if you lurk. And if you lurk, but didn't register, you don't get counted. Hmm... As of right now, the homepage says there are 1011 members, but the members page says that there are 944. Well, at least the discrepancy stays the same.

Funny. Isn't this the sort of thing Tarantulas should have noticed first?
