I hate to start rumors but I wouldn't at all be surprised if Joel and Co. don't plan on shopping Cinematic Titanic around to g4, spike, heck even comedy central and that they are doing these as sort of the pilots......

that is just wild speculation but you never know.

As nice as that would be. Television has changed so much in the last 18 years when MST started. I seriously doubt anyone would commit to broadcasting a 2 hour original show.  Which is really stupid since most of the stations you mention probably pay more to run 9 episodes of CSI: FILL IN THE BLANK in row everyday.

I still think G4 and IFC would be serious possibilities...  it's just too bad Adult Swim doesn't have a channel as they'd possibly take it.... but Spike I couldn't really see happening, Comedy Central seriously unlikely too unless they through it on Saturday morning like the old days...

Also they do keep calling this first DVD the pilot

Chaos

Frankly, with all the open cable broadcasting bandwidth these days, I'm suprised someone hasn't tried to start an MST3K-esque network called "The Riff Network." Picture a station that runs 24 hour content of MST3K episodes, CT episodes (as they become available), fake news shows, mockumentaries, RiffTrax (if they can get On Demand through DivX, it means they could theoretically get licencing to broadcast it with the movie as well), and any other related shows out there... how awesome would that be? ;)

I bought and am waiting for my DVD, and I'm thus far disappointed with the process.  Joel mentioned that 3 out of 4 people preferred DVD over download, a poll I never recieved.  However, it misses the point that people were expecting a professionally printed DVD with a box.  THAT is something I'd be willing to pay $15 for, as many people did with the Film Crew releases.  However, if all I'm going to get is a burned DVD, I'd much rather do it myself.  Notice that the Burn and Ship option adds an additional $3 to the charge, meaning the download option would be $12.  That's more reasonable, but I really think the sweet spot would be $10.  I will say that they dropped the ball considerably by not having download available at launch.  Yes, they had rights issues, but it might just have been a better idea to have a different movie at launch.  All in all, if the product is of high quality then all this hassle is worth it, but they've definately dropped the ball for customer satisfaction.

Well, you could have waited for the download option in April... although for a measly 3 bucks, why wait?

There probably needs to be a poll to the tune of "How much would you be willing to spend on a CT product?"

I imagine they plan on one a month?
