Personally, I enjoy him because he's kind of like that stereotypical cartoon male hero full of bravado, except he's real.  He pulls it off better than anyone I can think of and he's usually got the one-liners to back it up.  And even if the line itself isn't that good, his delivery alone can make it a great line.  I have a friend who was a huge Army of Darkness fan and he'd always be quoting the movie, and I just didn't get it since I hadn't seen the movie.  But once I saw it, it just clicked.

Now, unfortunately all his roles aren't nearly as good as that, but he's got no problem with that.  Brisco County Jr was another good role for him.  It's a shame the show was canceled.  I'm just now getting Jack of All Trades on DVD via Netflix.

Thanks for the head's up about the busted vid.  Edited post to fix it.

Jack of All Trades has one of the best opening musical intros ever.

And the "Thanksgiving" episode was hilarious!

But to tell you the truth, all this time I thought this thread was about the movie, They Call Me Bruce?.

It's a cheesy and yet funny film....and still I kept thinking "There's so many people who remember this and Johnny Yune?"   ???

Bruce Campbell is one of the single most awesome people to ever live. i watch some bad movies just cause he's got a part in them. And this will absolutely rule, so not worried about that.

I have never, ever understood Bruce Campbell fan-dom.  I got nothing against the guy, but all he's done is bad b-movies, and bit parts here & there...just like hundreds of other actors.

I just don't get the appeal.

BTW, that video isn't working anymore.

It's not about the movies he appears in, it's about what he does in them.

Bruce Campbell is like a ray of sunshine. He just makes the movie better by appearing in it. He's full of energy, earnesty, and goodness. He's a good lead role, he's a good supporting character, and he makes a delightful bit-part or cameo.
Love doesn't hurt. It kills.

Huh, no... he's not good enough to be on the D-list yet. And he's not obsessed with celebrities. In fact he's never met one. But at least he never needed plastic surgery.

Hahaha

"where did you find this Evil Dead shampoo?"
"Bruce, thats drain cleaner"

He's also in a really neat series at the moment, Burn Notice, where he plays a slightly washed up FBI agent.

Well, he's in the Evil Dead movies, and he's obviously really really awesome, but for some reason, although the Evil Dead movies merely pay homage to b-movies, producers of the universe always cast Bruce in ACTUAL b-movies. I mean, does he suck in Spider-Man? Hell no. The guy has amazing presence. But even his so-called "friend" Sam Raimi won't cast him in more than a cameo. The biggest movie Bruce was in was Congo where he was on screen for 30 seconds before becoming a corpse. I've heard some casting directors like people with quirky looks and imperfections. Maybe Bruce is just too perfect for Hollywood. It would be fairly amazing to see Bruce directed, once, by an actual director. But, all he does is b-movies, so all anybody sees is b-movies, so nobody casts him in anything but b-movies. He needs a better agent. And a video of him in "Spartacus" just to show he's a real Hollywood actor. Sure, it would be a fake video, but you don't get anywhere by telling the truth.

yeah, look how awesome Brisco County Jr. was.  That was another one of Fox's brilliant descisions to cancel that show.
