And Holly! Well in picture form anyway.

And yet again she's not wearing pants!

Won't somebody please buy this girl some nice trousers for Christmas?  Dungarees, knickers, jodhpurs, whatever.  I know this is San Diego, but even in warm climes, people shouldn't have to be lower-body-coverage-deprived.

Exactly why do you want her in pants?

For anyone who is unsure how the DivX process works...

- Install the DivX player on your computer and create a DivX account the first time you launch the player (its free)
- Purchase the short and download the .tix file from RiffTrax
- Double click the .tix file and you will see the SantaRiff DivX file downloading. It downloads to the My Video's folder in My Documents.
- You can play it while its downloading or wait till it completes.
- If you have a DVD player that supports DivX you can burn the DivX file to a CD or DVD with Nero as a "Data Disc".
Otherwise, watch the SantaRiff on your computer with the DivX player.

I purchased the short, but I don't see a .tix file in my Files list to download. How do I download it?

Divx won't let me register and account. I haven't seen the last short either. For the last three days or so (as long as I've been trying) it's told me "the database is experiencing technical difficulties, try again later."

I'll try from my folks computer on Christmas eve I guess.

Last short? Gah! WhatdidImiss?
Grug is probably talking about Signal 30. A 3 minute short riffing a dangers of highway driving safety video, which I really want to see the whole thing off.

That is exactly what I am talking about.

For the 3 mins it is.. its quite funny, esp Kevin freaking out over the opening crawl.

AVtS, is also quite good. I've watched it about 6 times now. Hilarious.

Are you registering from the site, or from the player? If you're doing one, try the other.

More info please, and I'll submit a ticket into the tech guys. (Might not get to it until after xmas, though.)

Edward J Grug III

I thought you'd solved it, as I had been trying to register via the player, and I went to the site and it let me register right away, BUT then when I try to log in using the player...

Login error

The network is experiencing technical difficulties. Please try again later.

Hmm. It sounds to me like a firewall is blocking that program from accessing the webbernets. That's my guess anyway. As far as I know it only uses port 80 but I could be wrong. Do you have a log or anything you can check?

Edward J Grug III

Not as such. I'm at work, which is a primary school. They've probably got it blocked or something. They like to do that. Thankfully they haven't blocked you guys yet.

Like I say, I'll give it a shot from my folks house, thanks for your help!

I really must get the internets at home soon...
