Scorsese directs Hitchcock (No, seriously!)

Years ago, Hitchcock made a script for a champagne ad. It's called A Key to Reserva. Sadly, Hitchcock passed away and the ad was never made. Until now, Oscar award-winner Martin Scorsese successfully redone Hitchcock's vision. He's made a brilliant advertisement and a complex homage to Alfred Hitchcock and Bernard Hermann.

" - But the trick is to preserve a film that has NOT been made. That's never been done."
" - That's never been done?"
" - No. Never been done."

Filled with Hitchcock References: North by Northwest, The Man Who Knew Too Much, Rear Window, Notorious, Rope, Saboteur, The Birds.
.

Whats so funny is that I haven't watched a lot of Hitchcock (I know, I know), but just how well Scorsese matched the typical 50s style cinematography unnerved me.  Though the bad guy's death was a little TOO vintage 50s cinematography.

I think I like Scorsese even more as a person than a director.  His passion and enthusiasm for film helps create great little pieces of film like this and along with some gorgeous Bernard Hermann score, I really enjoyed the whole thing.

Tripe

Excellent pastiche.

And actually pretty good Cava too.

They're clever buggers at Frexinet, or at least at the ad agency that came up with this.
