What about Abbott and Costello's "Who's On First?"  That's a better one and it's more productive.
It is only right that he get paid for his money since he got to first base.

bettertomorrowamy

Third base is when your money starts being worth it.

Think of it this way.  There are people with taste in movies and there are people without taste in movies.  Without the people without taste in movies, Michael Bay would still be making t.v. commercials.

Perhaps you would prefer the brand new Hitman movie? Or perhaps Jessica Alba's Awake? Saw IV? P2? Martian child? The Comebacks? Mr Magorium's wonder emporium? Lion's for lambs? Fred Claus? Because no matter how you cut it, and I'm trying to be as objective as possible, but those movies are still a lot worse than Transformers.

I'll tell you why Transformers is worse:  I WANTED to see Transformers.  I was all excited until I found out it was gonna be Armaggedon with robots.
They destroyed my image of the Transformers.  Just stay away from Beast Wars.

Okay, on behalf of Michael Bay, I am sorry. Very Sorry. I certainly don't agree with you but I am very sorry you feel that way. I'll tell you what, when I see the next movie and if it looks like something you'd want to see I will let you know right away.

The only way I'm gonna see it (like the first one) is if they Rifftrax-afy it.

Well, let me ask this then: what exactly were you expecting or wanting? I'm 33, TF was a big part of my childhood and I enjoyed the movie(I wouldn't say I absolutely loved it, but I did find it entertaining). Of course it was Armageddon with robots, and judging by the box office, a LOT of people expected and liked that from a Michael Bay, ILM effects-filled, middle of the summer popcorn movie.

I think it's probably best just to let the subject go at this point.  :)

Or you could read back over the thread for that information.  Or every other thread about Transformers.

Behonkiss

The first half-hour or so had me thinking I might actually enjoy it, then things got horribly long and tedious.  But the biggest problem was the characters.  So much time is wasted on characters that barely have any screen time or have no point at all (What happened to the Australian woman, Anthony Anderson and John Turturro after they smashed the small robot?  Apparently, it doesn't matter.).  This easily could have still been a movie with both humans and Transformers, but it feels that so much time was wasted.  Optimus, Bumblebee, and the small robot are the only ones who really get any characterization, while the others are lucky to get two lines in- and the designs were so bland that I had trouble telling who was who.  Worst of all, Megatron didn't appear until the last half-hour, and he was just a destructive maniac instead of a cold and commanding leader!  I'm not even that much of a Transformers fan, and that still annoyed me.

Basically, the movie didn't know what it should have focused on.  I wasn't even able to enjoy it as a popcorn flick as a result.  Because of all this, there is actually a chance that the SEQUEL will be better.  The guys did a great job with the riff, though.
