Why didn't the decepticons just buy the glasses off of eBay?  In a week they could have had them.  They wouldn't have had to attack Air Force One, or go to Iraq and try to hack into a military base.

No shipping address to ship to. Plus Shia probably had a "I won't accept bids from people with zero rating" rider on his listing.

Aaaaaaah, but they could rent a P.O. Box.  Also, they could spoof an eBay account with a higher transaction count and good history.

Points I found humorous:
Family issues.
Cell phone plan conversation.

When it came to the cell phone thing, I remember Bay actually bringing up in his commentary that it was based on a real occurrence.  Wish I knew that whole story.   ;D

Actually, the comic relief decepticon could pose as a P.O. box inside the Post Office of their choice.  Then the whole story could revolve around the heroic postmaster and his clerks.  Much more exciting.

You know what, you're right. I'm looking forward to the riveting mail sorting scene. Oh and the scene where the transvestite Post Master general has to file an insurance claim for $14.31 for a Dooney & Bourke coin purse he won on Ebay that he never received.

See?  There you go.  Much better script.  And it still contains a commercial for Ebay.

Actually, seems more like a scene from Spiderman 3, so I don't know if it's better.

I'm waiting for the next Transformers, where we'll get shots of Transformer toys on ebay.

You mean in Iraq?  Or is this just another take on that one incident in Grenada (as portrayed in Heartbreak Ridge)?
Correction: the coat hanger should be upside down.

I think he mentioned it happening in Iraq, I'll have to listen to the commentary again to be sure.

And postal workers keep themselves well armed so there would be some potential for gunplay as well. :)

gunfire and explosions make any movie better

For example, any Ben Stiller romantic comedy.  Go ahead, try and convince me that movie wouldn't have been better if De Nero had just shot Stiller the second he showed up in front of the house.
