I dont care what you guys say about this film.  Its hardly the worst film ever.   Infact the power outage error is miniscule compared to a brontosaurus turd of a movie such as Signs.  What about the collasal conituity problem of a race of aliens thats only weakness is water coming to a planet that is 75% water!  There is god damn water vapor in the air.

I was bieng threated with death by wolf raping before it was cool!.

No thats just redi....uh...you don't seem to understand the log.....um...M. Night was just trying to.....

Ah screw it, Signs sucked, those aliens were friggin morons.  While we're at it lets show the Wicked Witch of the West take a leisurely stroll through a rainstorm.

I used the power outage as an example because it is so blatant.  I mean someone is actually commenting on the "blown transformer" that cut the power in the shot that shows the power on.  At that point you have to say to yourself that none of these people were actually interested in making a quality film and it shows in hundreds of ways throughout the movie.  I could have commented on the appearing/disappearing driver dummies which appear only when they need to interact with an actor and vanish in other shots, or the script that had dialog that either assumed the viewer had the attention span of a goldfish or short-term memory problems like that guy from Memento since it often contradicted itself in the same scene, or the gibberish editing.  Transformers is not the worst movie of all time, it's not even the worst movie Rifftrax has done (I'd actually go with Wicker Man for that one, but there's always Troll 2 and Battlefield Earth to fall back to), but I'd put it in the bottom 10% of all movies ever made.

And I haven't seen Signs.  I really do try to avoid films that I'm reasonably sure I'll hate.  I avoided Transformers until the Rifftrax hit.

I wish I could unwatch Transformers because even though I knew it would suck cuz of Bay, I still had hope it would be decent.

Eh. It had issues. It was nothing to curl into a fetal position and scream that you hate all that lives over.
Love doesn't hurt. It kills.

While I was watching it with the riffs, right about the time I was wondering WTF was going on,  Mike said basically the same thing.
It also popped into my head while watching this that Michael Bay is sort of a big-budget Ed Wood Jr.   There are points in his movies where you can just sense that they've given up trying to make sense and are just concentrating on blowing up stuff for another half hour or so until they can end it.  Bay should remake Plan 9 from Outer Space someday.

Watched the movie and the riff last night.   I had never seen Transformers before or watched the animated shows growing up.

WAY WAY WAY too much screen time for the stupid kid and not enough time on "robot character development".    Oh, you are jazz and you must be cuz you sound black.   Uh, okay.

Shia LeBeouf WAY overacted in every scene he was in.  How on EARTH did John Tururo (sp) get conned into this.

Not the worste movie ever, but pretty bad.   Would like to see what a good directory could do.

Well a decent one could give you the number and address of a local video store, but why would you need that if you already picked up the move?  ;D

And I'm guessing Turturro got pulled in by the boatloads of money tied up in a movie like this.  The same thing that pulled Jeremy Irons into not one but two horrible dragon movies (though I'm relatively sure Transformers has made more dough than both those movies put together by now)

Actually Jeremy Irons will appear in any movie for taxi fare and a share of the pizza.

That's going to be handy when I start casting my epic film, "Pizza Delivery:  A Love Story"

Well, I finally listened to the rifftrax, and honestly, it was pretty funny but quite a few things they said were things we've already heard from other peeps on the board and others at the IMDB forum. I think Mike, Kevin and Bill were way too preoccupied with the fact that Michael Bay directed. Mike Nelson, sir in my humble opinion Michael Bay insults and put-downs are as old as Tutankhamen, former ruler of Egypt. What I am getting at is that jokes about Michael Bay are not and never really were funny in the first place. If you all could not tell, I am a trifle pissed right now. So I am going to give myself a time out before I say something else I regret.
