True, though I think if I were conducting the interview I'd want to end on a point about the actual project to better create interest.  That's just me though, their interviewer might just really have wanted to end on Star Wars.

I don't think that anyone believes that Zardoz will actually be the first Cinematic Titanic release. I just thought it was freakin' awesome that somewhere here in my town a buncha' guys are sitting around with Joel watching that horrible film! Sorry if the gigantic super-huge poster image threw you off or something.

I'm sorry!  I am flabergasted!  I am appalled!  Where is the graciousness?  MST3K simply won Emmy nominations and the Peabody award without Mike and Kevin?  He is all humbleness - NOT!  I hope he enjoys himself.  If anything shows that there is some kind of "riff" between Mike and Joel, that interview said it all!

Note that Cinematic Titanic's movie riffing debut is scheduled on "The Day of Infamy"!

After Frank left mst3k he moved to LA and did some writing and tv specials, then got a job as a staff writer on Sabrina the Teenage Witch for 4 seasons, then did Invader ZIM, then some consulting for the Drew Carey Show, then some O2Be, then some Tom Green, and of course some Dark Star, and he has recently been doing Cartoon Dump, http://cartoonbrewfilms.com/?s=cartoon+dump&key=director&x=0&y=0, and now CT.

Woah now....it is hard for me to read that interview and not see Joel as anything other than a nice genuine guy who is appreciative of all the praise that MST3K has received. As for the award thing he clearly stated that it was going to be given to him alone (let's be honest it was probably just a way to get Joel to come to their corporate riffing party) but the timing coincided with CT so he decided to make it for all of them.

Also who is to say there is a rift between Kevin and Mike and Joel and the CT gang? I mean don't assume that just because they have started separate things that they hate each other? Rifftrax is Mike's thing, always has been and will be. It never seemed to me like there was ever going to be a large invitation to the old MST3K gang to participate FULLY in Rifftrax and the way I look at it CT is just a way for the rest of them to be apart of something on a full time basis. Now that is me making an assumption and I am probably wrong but whatever.
