'Sky High' as you've never seen it before

[Thom_Serveaux]

I was on YouTube, looking for some fresh vict- new clips to edit over on RiffTrax DIY.  I thought that the Disney movie 'Sky High' would be comedic gold, if for no other reason than it has one of my favorite actors, Bruce Campbell in it.  So I typed in 'Sky High' and, long story short......

...I was totally blown away by what I found...

It's my understanding that only the second clip is official, the other two contain music not from the movie.  The last clip has a pretty concise  synopsis...

"Sky High:  A serial-killer is removing his victims hearts and taking them with him. Kanzaki is a detective on the case. The day he is due to be married to his fiance, Mina, she is killed displaying the same M.O. as the other victims. He discovers Millionaire Mogul Kudo to be responsible for Mina's Death. When he has six hearts he will be able to summon demons from beyond the 'Gate of Rage' to grant any wish, but darkness will fall upon the earth, and is what Kudo doing, truly evil."

I'm not a big fan of the 'serial-killer' or 'blood & gore ' genre as a rule of thumb, but some of the fight choreography that's displayed in the last clip might make this a worthy exception, for me at least...

Hey, it's that woman from the newer Godzilla vs Mechagodzilla movies. Cool!

Yumiko Shaku. Kick ass babe.

WAIT, SHE'S PLAYING A VICTIM?!

I actually purchased this a while back. I should probably get around to actually watching it one of these days...

Ever since I saw "Azumi" and "Versus", this movie has been on my recommendations list.  I'll get around to it...eventually.

This thread made me curious what Ryuhei Kitamura was working on these days and I found there's a trailer out for his first American movie, based on a Clive Barker story:

Looks pretty cool.  Ridiculous title though.

"Midnight Meat Train"? If that's not a porn title, then I don't know what is.

This sucks.

Not the film mind you, I actually enjoyed the film. What sucks is that this reminded me of a nice little music video on Youtube for it. Unfortunately it's been taken down due to terms of use violation. Oh well, here's another Ryuhei Kitamura Movie Music video.

FORTUNATELY however despite its removal from Youtube, it turns out that the video is still available at 'Dailymotion'. So huzzah for perserverance!

I'd be careful though, as the Music video has some pretty big spoilers in it if you're intending to see the movie.
