I have a new suggestion. I unwittingly saw the shittiest movie I have ever seen Saturday night. I mean its close to tying Wicker Man as worst movie ever.

The movie...

Bug, with Ashley Judd. It has the random acts of Napolean Dynamite without the comedy, along with the goofiest acting I have seen since bees were poured onto a certain someone.

Take my word for it when I say this movie is pure unadulterated shit.

But I still wanna see Red Dawn done first.

What I can't believe is how it got an IMDB rating of 6.2.

May I also suggest Rob Zombie's House of 1000 Corpses?

For Halloween?

Seriously, what the hell was wrong with that film?

I was really excited about this film when it was released, and went to see it in the theater. People were actually walking out on this movie. But it's definitely not pure shite. Even though it was much too slow, it was still a pretty cool movie and a good idea. I think it would have worked really well as an hour long Twilight Zone or something, because at times it felt like they were stretching the original play out just to hit the two hour mark. Good idea, promising film... but ultimately a very disappointing movie. Oh well.

Again... another film that looked really promising and had me all excited. Anyway, I think the problem was that it was trying to be about five or six other films. Ya' know... instead of being something original.

I could've seen it as a play. I mean, it was an interesting premise, but 1) the movie was too too long, 2)The acting felt ridiculous, and 3)The editing was horrendous. You would have a scene building up to something you felt would be extraordinary, only to have it cut and show the outside of the hotel next morning as if whatever was going to happen never happened. I mean going from a talking scene, to 10 seconds of random death metal, and then back to talking... I don't know how to describe it.

And when they were casting the role of a wife-beating hard ex-con, what made 'em think, "You know who this is perfect for? Harry Connick Jr."  ???

Basically the movie could be summed up in 6 words: Government-programmed crack-smoking killer cyborg.

Riff it. It would make a good Halloween riff.

I could not stop the comparisons to Wicker Man with this movie. Good actor doing bad acting, horrendous direction, too many random scenes ultimately leading nowhere. If they didn't bill it as a horror film, then I could see maybe getting away with it.

and definite MST3K movie trait: the movie is called Bug, but there are no bugs until about 75 minutes into the movie.

The movie could have been called Man-bush, and it would've been a more accurate title than Bug.

No, it definitely hasn't changed.

You guys are starting to lose it.
No offense, but when you posted that, I seem to recall that old standby, "I don't think they ever had it..." crept into my mind and died there....

So who won this poll and by how much? Did Jurassic Park win?

The polls usually don't mean anything. The guys go, "Huh. Jurassic Park won. Let's do The Invisible next."

Why do they do these polls anyway?  Why don't they just look at my avatar?

I actually had a dream that my April Fools joke came true and they did riff Red Dawn with the special guest riffer being Trace Beaulieu.

It was glorious.

Indeed.  How can we not celebrate the movie where He-Man uses guns as much as his sword, palls around with Billy Barty dressed as a discount Hobbit and they're all almost overpowered by the love between Monica from Friends and Tom Paris!
