I suppose I should put this under the Halloween heading, but if you're anything like me you don't really look at the specific movie posts until after you've watched them, and I'm waiting 'til Tuesday to watch Halloween. (Can you guess why?) Anyway...

This past Friday my roomate Scott attended the Chiller Theatre Expo in beautiful* Secaucus, New Jersey. I would have gone as well, but there was a concert at Irving Plaza that required my presence. Among the many semi-famous guests signing overpriced autographed 8"x10" glossies were Pee Wee Herman, the cat guy from Kiss, bratpacker Anthony Michael Hall, Star Trek's Q, the still hulking Lou Ferrigno, Willis from Diff'rent Strokes, the guy who flew the helicopter in Day Of The Dead, and Point Break star Lori Petty.

The reason I'm telling you this is because Scott spent a few minutes chatting with one Tony Moran, who played the grown-up Michael Myers in both Halloween and Halloween 2. On the ball, Scott asked if Mr. Moran was familiar with MST3K (He was.) and told him about RiffTrax and that Halloween was a recent addition. Tony thought this was great and said he would check it out.

So if a middle-aged man in a Captain Kirk mask shows up at Legend Films brandishing a butcher knife, now you know why.

*I'm really stretching the definition of beautiful here.

I would love to go to the Chiller. I just watched a docu on it (from Netflix) called UnConventional. It looks like a total blast. If you are a horror/sci-fi geek, rent this flick and/or get to the Chiller next year!

I assume that Zach is still alive now right?
Grapes? I hate grapes, I can't stand grapes. I loathe grapes. All kinds of grapes. I hate green grapes and I hate purple grapes. I hate grapes with seeds, I hate grapes without seeds. I hate them peeled and nonpeeled. I hate them in bunches, one at a time and in small groups of twos and threes.

When I saw the thread title, I thought it might have something to do with Shrek or Dr. Evil.

A joke far too obvious to be left unsaid. :P
Correction: the coat hanger should be upside down.

:- ...Hmm.  Perhaps it SHOULD have been left unsaid.

Didn't Moran only play Myers for the 1.5 seconds he is unmasked? Nick Castle did most of the Myers role in H1 and Dick Warlock did it all in H2. Still cool though :)

Yeah, I think so, but let's not rain on his parade. He's got overpriced autographs to hock.

Heh.  Now...if only we could get Warwick Davis, David Prowse, and Peter Mayhew on board!
