Ya, Dave & Buster's is very cool, though I am unfortunately confined to Chuck E. Cheese these days.  They've got beer there now, though, so it's all good.

The D&B in San Diego is only a few years old.  I think they started in the South somewhere.  In-N-Out is definitely strictly Southwest, and was only in Southern California until fairly recently.  They will probably never expand beyond this area, because they ship their meat fresh from their facility down here in regfrigerated trucks.

Please tell me that you have children, Steve-O...

It was a wise man that first combined Pizza and video games. I just wish they hadn't also come up with animatronic mice so that adults can feel OK going there.

D&B are everywhere I think.  We have one out here in Virginia somewhere, and my brother goes to one in Kansas near KC.

All I really remember about going to D&B was wanting an oxygen mask after about ten minutes. Other than that, it's a pretty awesome place. The simulation Battletech game they had at the one in San Antonio was one of the most kick ass experiences of my entire life.

I do now.

Count me in! (Of course.) We'll have to have a contest to see who can last longest inside Dave & Buster's.  :P

I think I'll be on the losing end of that contest.

The one day I went to a Dave and Buster's... I must say, it was GLORIOUS.  It's such a fun place.  I went there years ago, so I was probably too young to post on this forum, but I remember it quite well, which says a lot about the restaurant.

By the way, this has been asked before, but might have been passed off as a joke, so I want to ask this in a slightly more serious light: Would there be anybody who would object to me showing up in my Ash Williams (circa Evil Dead II) costume?  The costume isn't too much trouble, so it's not going to get in the way, and it doesn't look overly ridiculous.  (The clothes are too nice to douse in blood, so I'm a slightly cleaner (and feminine) version of Ash.)  It'll be pretty clothes plus a chainsaw on my right arm.

So, any objections?

I think everyone would appreciate a pic of the outfit. How big's the chainsaw?

I'm sure everybody would be fine with it, but you might want to consider that if the current venue holds up, we'll be outside in the middle of summer.  You may end up wishing you had worn something more comfortable.

ChrisHanel

I still plan on running a Mafia game at the Meetup. Any objections?

It's a costume chainsaw, so it's about two feet long and less than two inches thick.  It's made of plastic, as well, so it's incredibly light-weight.  I'll try to get some pictures in here at some point, though, so I can get a second opinion about the outfit.  Steve-o raises a good point about the weather, though.  I'm probably too used to where I live, and we've been having relatively cool summers.  But I'm on the wrong coast here, so I'm going to have to wait and see how everything pans out for next year.  If the costume idea sticks, I'll most likely wear a tank top or t-shirt underneath the shirt in case it gets to be too hot, but I have no problem with ditching the costume if need be.

And I would SO be up for a Mafia game at the meet-up, Chris.
