Hey Torgos,

The new in-forum display of your registration date resets to today any time you edit your profile.

Just FYI... :)

Really? Yours still says "5/28/2007" ... is this something you only see on YOUR profile page?

I'm using the forum code that the forum uses when displaying the date your account was created (if that makes any sense).

Chaos

When I look in my profile, I see the correct registration date. But when I am on the forum, it always says: "Registered: Today."

I have seen other peoples' registration date listed, but mine keeps saying today - I'm assuming it's because I've updated my profile today and it's somehow throwing it off, but it could be something else, too.

I took a screenshot from this thread just now, showing the registered today thing. I'll email it to you in a second.

Seems to me like your browser is caching an old template folder.

Delete all your temporary internet files (possibly restart Explorer) and check again. I've re-checked all the code and everything is fine - even looked at it in MSIE 7, Opera and Safari. They all show the correct date when logged in, and no "Date registered" when logged off.

Try that and let me know if that fixes it.

Chaos

Deleted all files, cookies, history, etc. Restarted program. Same thing... still shows Registered: Today in the forum, but the correct date when I go to my profile.

Here's the source code my browser is showing for the relevant bit to show my registration date in the forums:

Date Registered: Today<br />

I'm still getting this after clearing cache a second time, manually going into my local settings / temporary internet files folder and deleting everything that was left behind, and restarting again.

v. strange. Obviously, I can't see the php code that feeds the html that I see... I just know that this is what is showing up once I get the html on my screen. So you see my original registration date in the forum? Any non-moderator reading this thread, do you see my registration date as well (May something), or do you see Date Registered: Today like I do?

Can I get you to try it in a browser other than Internet Explorer? For shits and giggles?

I'm downloading Firefox now for giggles, but I refuse to do anything for shits. What have they ever done for me? Besides, what a man and his toilet do in the privacy of their own home is nobody else's business. ;)

I'll let you know what I get in a few minutes once I finish this install.

Interestinnnnnng...  maybe it's a forum permission. I'll test some things here in a sec.

Chaos

cool.

It's not, like, important or anything. It looks like it doesn't affect everyone, because Mr. Torso sees it fine. And I see SOME peoples' registration dates (raven, Mr. Torso, Junkyard), but others show Today in the forum (but will show the right date in their profile, the same as always). It looks like  people who have made changes to their profiles are the ones whose dates get reset in the forum display code, for whoever is affected. Very random and weird. :)

Testing, 1, 2, 3.

By the way I'm a brand new user (you might know me as TorgosPizza)... and it shows me the correct dates. I think I know what the issue is. Please hold.
