heheh, I did something like this once too. I was trying to block out an annoying image on my webmail's main page, but accidentally clicked my ad software's button to "block links to page" instead of "block image," so I couldn't log into my webmail anymore. After about a week of going back and forth with my techs and basically treating them like crap, I found the problem, and had to pony up.

"Uh... I was filtering the page with my ad blocker. Sorry guys..."

They probably still tell the story about me to their co-workers with great loathing. I know I would!
