I'm using Safari on my mac in the forums, and I can't post comments using Smileys, HTML links, Youtube links, etc....  nothing.  Is this temporary?

I think all of those button actions use javascript to "fire." Check your settings in Safari.

Or, don't use Safari. That would be my best recommendation :)

Javascript is enabled in Safari.  This problem just happened 2 days ago.  Before then everything was fine.  I would really prefer to use Safari.

Really, just two days ago?

Sounds like it's not something on the server end. Did Safari issue an update? I will check the settings on here .. but it really sounds like a browser issue.

I don't think there's been a new update for awhile.  I'm running 2.0.4
I just checked for any newer updates and there is nothing.

Yeah that's really weird.

Tell ya what, can you PM me (or attach to a message or in an email to support) a page that includes the message posting field? I'll take a look and see what isn't functioning.

Is there any plugin or anything you can run that can show you javascript errors? Anything like that would be helpful. Thanks!

Even a screenshot would be acceptable. But source code is better!

bettertomorrowamy

Do you want a screenshot of what it looks like when I reply?

FYI, I downloaded the Safari Beta3.03 from Apple (for Windows) and I can see all of the emoticons, etc. Is this thing that only happens when you go TO reply, or after you've submitted the reply?  In other words does the code you have entered not show up in your post, or are you not able to post the code in the first place?

bettertomorrowamy

If I manually type in the code it shows up, I just don't see the buttons when I go to reply.  The codes work, just no button shortcuts.
I emailed you the source code and a screenshot.

I got your screenshot .. and what's weird is when I open that source code as a page, all of the smileys show up. Further signs to me that it is your browser.

Are you running the new Beta also?

bettertomorrowamy

Nevermind!  Sorry torgos, I was using a Stylesheet that was supposed to block ads and I guess it was blocking the buttons and emoticons too.
All is kosher now.  My bad.  I am humbled before your presence.  I will submit to 40 lashings with a wet noodle.
